Sheamus and Cesrao are arch-rivals in WWE before they both teamed up. They had best of seven matches which was ended in tie, later, then-Raw General Manager Mick Foley forced them to work as team and named as “The Bar”. They had became huge success as Tag Team and became five-time Tag Team Champions in WWE.
The former WWE Champion Sheamus recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated and spoke about his former tag team partner Cesaro. He said that he wouldn’t be in WWE if it not for Cesrao and how important he was in his career. Here what Sheamus said:
“If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know if I’d still be in WWE. I’d just finished with League of Nations, which didn’t work, and I didn’t know where I was going. Cesaro had just come back from a shoulder injury, and he didn’t know where he was going. Then they put us in the best of seven. By the time we’d wrestled twice, it felt like people were already over it. But we tried to do something different with our fights, and it won the crowd over.”
Sheamus also said that Cesaro is most underrated superstar in WWE and he will be a great champion in the company if he given a chance.
“Cesaro is the most underrated guy, ever, in WWE. He’ll make a great champion, and it’s only a matter of time before it happens. When it does, no one will dispute it, because they’ll know it’s well overdue.”
Sheamus and Cesrao worked as team from 2016 to 2019 and they were disbanded after Sheamus suffering a injury.
