The former WWE Divas Champion Layla recently appeared as special guest on Vickie Guerrero’s Excuse Me Podcast and discussed about numerous topics including backstage reaction about Michelle McCool relationship with The Undertaker.
Layla stated that backstage reaction about their relationship is indeed negative and people believed that McCool will get whatever she wanted. But Layla made it clear that that wasn’t the case, there were no preferential treatment for her as she witnessed it. Here what Layla said:
“Michelle and I got told no many times. It wasn’t like we got what we wanted. It wasn’t like that. I can promise you that. I was there. I’m just going to be really honest about this. Michelle being married to Taker, or his girlfriend I think at the time, eventually, their marriage was a little bit after that, people were like, ‘Oh, she’s going to get whatever she wants.’ I was there to witness it. Michelle McCool and The Undertaker married on June 26th, 2010. After their marriage, McCool stayed in the company over a year and her last singles match came against Layla at Summer Slam 2011, in which she lost. McCool also appeared on 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble match and Battle Royal at all Women’s Evolution PPV.
