The Captain Charisma Christian returned to the ring at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 pay-per-view after one year of his best friend Edge’s return to WWE. Though he had cordial talks with WWE, Christian signed a multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling.
The Rated-R Superstar Edge picked Universal Champion Roman Reigns as his WrestleMania 37 Opponent and involved in feud with Tribal Chief Roman Reigns in Smackdown. On the latest edition of Talking Smack, Paul Heyman talked about the Edge and said that his best friend Christian ran away from WWE before Roman Reigns target him. Here what Paul Heyman said:
“Edge, your best friend in this world knew he was going to become Roman Reigns’ target just to get into your head, and what did he do? He ran away before Roman Reigns could target him. How many of your ‘Christians’ need to convert before you realize it’s not smart to pi** off Roman Reigns? You, Edge, have pi**ed off Roman Reigns.” (H/T: SK Wrestling)

Previously, Christian also involved in Edge’s storyline with Randy Orton. Christian confronted Orton after attacking Edge and had a unsanctioned match with Christian, even though, he wasn’t cleared to wrestle. That match was won by Orton after Ric Flair hitting low-blow to Christian.

Currently, Daniel Bryan became serious threat to Roman Reigns before Reigns going one-on-one match with Edge at WrestleMania 37. Reigns is set to defend his Universal Title against Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane this Sunday.
