After being two decades with WWE, Paul Wight (fka Big Show) left the company and joined with AEW as a in-ring competitor and also a commentator of his it’s new show AEW Dark: Elevation.
The former WWE Superstar Paul Heyman recently appeared as special guest on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho Podcast and discussed about several topics including orginal plans for him on Raw Legends Night.
During the show, Big Show talked about his contract discussions and how it was in last few days in the company. Then, he said that after his last appearance on Raw Legends Night it was ‘absolutely horrendous’ as he was in contract negotiations, which wasn’t went smoothly.
“I needed a restart. After the last RAW (Legends Night) it was absolutely horrendous. I was going through contract negotiations then, so sometimes when you’re going through contract negotiations with them, they try to, lack of a better term they’ll try to make things more awkward, difficult or to prove a point. It’s part of the psychology of the game, you know what I mean?” (H/T: Post Wrestling)
Paul Wight also commented on Raw Legends Night, he said that he wasn’t happy about how they treat legends, that anytime they would ‘get run into the ground’.
“To sit there on the ramp and then, you know, get called a ‘has been’ while I sit there and watch a match, it’s just – you talk so much about legends and respect for legends and respect for Hall of Famers but, like, anytime a Hall of Famer is around they get run into the ground.”
