The Viper appeared as special guest on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions and spoke about several topics. During the interview, Orton was asked about his rivalry with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

Then, Randy Orton stated that he had no interest in facing Drew McIntyre but ater getting closer to him during his rivalry, he got to know that both had feels same way about this business and helped eachother to elevate themselves. Here what Randy Orton said about Drew McIntyre:

“Originally, I had no interest in being there with him. We got closer and closer and closer and closer and he grew on me. And we had like three or four pay-per-view matches and I slowly learned more about this guy. I did watch y’all sit down when it came out and like, I felt that, I felt that. I got to know him to the point where I know he’s got heart and I know he loves this business and I know that this business has given me everything I have and he feels the same way. And here we are, let’s do what we can to elevate each other and to make what we love as great as we can.”

Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton feuded in 2020 in a long storyline, in which Drew successfully defended his WWE Title twice against Randy Orton, then, lost title to him at Hell In A Cell PPV. But later on November 16th, 2020 episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre won WWE Title back from Randy Orton.
During the same interview, Randy Orton shared his thoughts on current AEW Superstar Christian Cage and praised that he’s the one of the best minds of creatively looking at the match. Here what Randy Orton said about Captain Charisma Christian:
“Yes, I think 2009, 2011, and 2020 were the three best, if I could sum it up. But, Christian, one of the best minds when it comes to creatively looking at a match and figuring out how to execute them. There’s stuff I’ve done with him that I’ve never done beforehand or after because it was all him. I was able to execute his ideas the way that I saw them but I got to give credit where credit is due, he knows his sh*t.”
Randy Orton and Christian had a fantastic feud over WWE World Heavyweight Championship in 2011 and produced some good matches. Last time both were wrestled on Jan 8th, 2020 episode of Raw in a unsanctioned match during Orton feud with Edge, in which Christian lost to Edge after Ric Flair hitting low blow to Christian.

“Vince is walking in the hallway. We needed a name for this thing. You know, Randy Keith Orton are my initials, and I came up, I’m like, TKO, RKO, this KO, KO, KO, KO, like RKO. Vince, what do you think? And he was just, never skipped a beat, kept walking, didn’t change his stride. He said, “I like it.” That was it! Next thing you know, it’s RKO, RKO. Again, lucky man. Right place, right time.”
