WWE Superstar Aleister Black wasn’t seen on WWE TV since five months. He last wrestled against Kevin Owens in no disqualification match on October 12th, episode of Monday Night Raw and later he was drafted to Smackdown but wasn’t seen from then on WWE TV. Now, we got an update about Black’s absence.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Black is dealing with minor injuries right now and that maybe reason for his absence on WWE TV. It was not clear when he was injured but he was kept off since he drafted to blue brand.
It was also noted that Aleister Black one of the talent who set to get push during Paul Heyman run as Raw Executive Director but that plans were crashed after Paul Heyman exit from that position. Later, Paul Heyman aligned with Roman Reigns as his special counsel on Friday Night Smackdown.
Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) was released by WWE on past November 2020 and there was speculation that maybe the reason for Black’s current standing with company but it’s reportedly not about her release. It was also previously reported that Black asked the company to send him back to NXT as well.
Recently, Andrade was released by WWE. Soon after the release, Aleister Black took the Twitter and wished him good luck. Then, Andrade also responded to the tweet and stated that we will meet again in the ring in a few years.
