After winning Universal Title #1 contender Elimination Chamber Match, Daniel Bryan got the Universal Title match against Roman Reigns. But Bryan lost the match in quick fashion and Edge attacked Reigns, then, picked Roman Reigns as his opponent at WrestleMania 37.
On Smackdown, Daniel Bryan confronted Roman Reigns and challenged for a Universal Title but Tribal Chief didn’t accept his challenge. Then, Jey Uso challenged Bryan for a match and if Bryan wins he will get the Universal Championship Match or else Bryan should acknowledge him as Head of the Table.
Ok following episode of Smackdown, Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso in a steel cage match and earned the Universal Championship Match at WWE Fastlane 2021 pay-per-view. During the contract signing, Roman Reigns refused to sign the contract, then, Daniel Bryan had heated argument with Reigns that leads to Reigns sign the contract.
But Jey Uso says that he will be the special enforcer for the match but Edge interfered and challenged a match with Jey Uso with winner will be the special guest enforcer for Universal Championship Match at WWE Fastlane. Edge won the match against Jey Uso and set be the special guest enforcer for the match.
Tonight on WWE Fastlane, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan put a hell of a show on the main event. It was almost Daniel Bryan near to win the match but unfortunate interference causes his title match.
At the end of the match, Daniel Bryan applied for yes lock on Roman Reigns but Jey Uso attacked Bryan and Edge, who was replaced as referee after original referee goes down. But Bryan accidentally hits Edge with steel chair, later, Bryan once again applied yes lock and tapped out Reigns but Edge attacked Bryan with steel chair.

Edge looks furious and hits Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan with steel chair, then, exited from the ring to backstage. Then, another referee came out and Roman Reigns pinned Daniel Bryan to retain his Universal Title.
