Tonight’s WWE SmackDown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg Florida. WWE announced already announced a huge steel cage match between Jey Uso and Daniel Bryan, of Bryan wins he will get Universal Championship Match at WWE Fastlane or if he loses he should acknowledge Roman Reigns as Head of the Table.
WWE also announced that one half of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler will face Bianca Belair in singles competition.

– Tonight show opened with Michael Cole in the ring and introduces Daniel Bryan to the ring. Cole hypes the Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso steel cage match tonight, Bryan will get Universal Title shot at WWE Fastlane if he wins or else he should acknowledge Roman Reigns as Head of the Table.
Cole aska Bryan about tonight’s main event and how it will end originally planned WWE Fastlane main event, Daniel Bryan & Edge vs. Roman Reigns & Jey Uso. Cole asks why he focused on Universal Title and Roman Reigns and not on tag team match.
Bryan says don’t make any assumptions because no one ever asked me to be in the tag team match. They think that he will show up and work his butt off no matter what and that the reason why Edge and Roman Reigns didn’t bother to asking him. Bryan says he’s making change and he’s not going to be old Daniel Bryan anymore. Edge vs. Roman Reigns is a dream match for WrestleMania and he will make sure it didn’t happen. Bryan excuses Michael Cole and says he will take it from here.
Bryan shows the video package of winning Elimination Chamber Match and losing to Roman Reigns, then, Edge came out and picking Reigns as his opponent at WrestleMania. Bryan says he had lost a lot in his career and got beaten up a lot. But after winning the third Elimination Chamber Match and fighting Reigns till last but he his life is never felt like a such a failure like when he saw Edge pointing towards WrestleMania sign.
Bryan tells that from the last three weeks he had wrestled more matches than tha Edge and Roman Reigns wrestled in last three months. He does it because he loves what he does and he’s absolutely the best. He hypes the tonight’s main event but Roman Reigns came out along with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.
Reigns says he’s looking into the same guy but doesn’t sound like the same guy. Reigns says Bryan is a underdog, a little guy, the lottery winner, he always waits for an opportunity and sometimes it works. Reigns further says, Bryan is not ambitious, like the guys like Roman Reigns. Bryan doesn’t love Wrestling, he needs it because he has nothing to do. But Roman Reigns loves this business and he doesn’t need it because everyone needs Roman Reigns in the business.
Roman Reigns says tonight Jey Uso will beat him down and make him to acknowledge Reigns as Head of the Table. Jey Uso takes the mic and rants about tonight’s match to Bryan and says he will end Daniel Bryan’s road to WrestleMania tonight. Then, Jey tries to attack Bryan but he counters and sent him out of the ring. Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan stares face to face in the ring and that segment ends.
– King Corbin defeated Montez Ford via Pinfall. During the match, Sami Zyan caused some distraction to Ford. After the match, Sami Zyan asked Corbin to do same help in his match. Sami enters the ring but Dawkins throws him to floor, Corbin and Sami argues and Corbin left the ringside to be Sami on his own.
– Angelo Dawkins defeated Sami Zyan via Pinfall. After the match, Sami goes near documentary crew and ranting about answers. He points one of the crew guy and says he didn’t recruit him and attacked him.
– Carmella approaches Reginald at backstage and rants him for betraying her over SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks. Reginald says he’s not but she throws champagne all over the floor and says he’s fired. Carmella walks off and Reginald looks shocked.
– Dominik Mysterio defeated Chad Gable via Pinfall. After the match, Otis tries to attack Dominik but Rey Mysterio sends Otis to announce table and escapes with Dominik. The both Mysterios celebrated on the ramp.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Seth Rollins and asks about Cesrao’s swing last week. Rollins says Cesrao’s swing went on forever last week. Seth Rollins says Cesaro os afraid of him and wanting him to humiliate. Then, Murphy appears beside Rollins and asks he will assist in Cesaro’s situation. But Seth Rollins says him to get out of is sight and Murphy walks off.
– Bianca Belair defeated Shayna Baszler via Pinfall. During the match, Nia Jax tries to hit Reginald for interruption but she accidentally hits Sasha Banks. After the match, Belair checks on Banks and says it’s all Reginald fault and she has to do something about it. Banks then hit the Reginald and says stay out of her business.
– Jey Uso at backstage with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Jey tells that Reigns title is safe until WrestleMania if he wins but he loses Reigns have to defend it at WWE Fastlane. If he loses it also embarrasses himself and his family. Roman says don’t embarasses family and Jey says he got it and walks off.
– Cesaro defeated Murphy via submission. After the match, Seth Rollins stood on annouce table and applauds Cesrao for his victory but Cesaro stares at him.
– At backstage, we see Reginald packed his luggage walks off. He stops at Sasha Banks locker room and knocks the door. Banks Opens it and says ‘no’, then, slammed the door. Reginald keep walking and stoped by WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Jax says he reeks of failure and Baszler threatens him. Nia Jax clams her down and says if she see what she sees, as he looks kind of cute but Reginald is hit confused.
– Apollo Crews entered the ring carrying a spear and with two men wearing combat boots and fatigues behind him. Apollo says everyone didn’t like the new Apollo but it’s not new Apollo, it’s real Apollo. He’s a descendant of Nigerian royalty, and he’s a real African American. These two men are the real Nigerian gaurds, who protected their family for many generations.
He talks about their family history and how they are humble. Crews say he’s happy that Big E is coming next week. He says Crews is no longer the same man Big E faced before and demands a rematch for Intercontinental Championship. He says Big E will left broken for his rest of life after his dominant victory.
– Natalya and Tamina Snuka at backstage with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. They are complaining about Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair getting title shot instead of them. But Pearce says sorry and that’s the match was made. Sonya also can’t help them.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage and ask Jey Uso about pressure of tonight’s main event. Jey says he’s confident and isn’t sweating no cage. Daniel Bryan suddenly attacks Edge from behind and put him down.
– Bayley at backstage for her Ding Dong Hello! show. Bayley says this is a test run for ‘Sweet Tweets’ segment on her show to read the postive comments from her fans. She goes on and read the comments but stopped it suddenly. Then, she left throw the door and banged it.
– Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso via submission in Steel Cage match and earned Universal Title shot at WWE Fastlane. After the match, Daniel Bryan celebrated on the top of the cage and Roman Reigns stares at him and Smackdown goes off air.
