Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field St. Petersburg, Florida. WWE announced two title matches for this week’s WWE Raw.
WWE United States Champion Riddle will defend his title against the Mustafa Ali and Hurt Business (Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin) will defend their Raw Tag Team Titles against The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods).
– WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP came out. MVP says that the Almighty Era officially begun and brings up the Bobby Lashley’s WWE Title win. MVP also recalls the Bobby Lashley taking down Drew McIntyre at Elimination Chamber and says will do same at WrestleMania 37. Then, The Miz and John Morrison interrupts them.
Miz says he had match with McIntyre tonight and goes about how his rivalry with Bobby Lashley is one of the greatest. He gave excuses for his loss and tries to make himself a rematch but Drew McIntyre music hits and he came out.
Drew McIntyre directly walks towards ring and went face to face with Bobby Lashley. McIntyre congratulated Lashley for title win and says he’s journey also similar. Drew says he won the WWE Title by defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 but Lashley just screwed him to win the title. Then, MVP says McIntyre that he has to worry about his buddy Sheamus not Lashley. Then both had words, Lashley also says the same thing.
Then, Miz says McIntyre has to worry about him tonight. Then, McIntyre give Miz two options – he will finish his conversation with Lashley, and Miz can attack him, or he can turn and walk away. McIntyre says he make the Miz as example for Lashley tonight and then will go to WWE Fastlane to take care of Sheamus. Then, he will go to WrestleMania 37 and will take WWE Title from Bobby Lashley to end Almighty Era.
Miz interrupts and caused distraction to Drew, then, Lashley attacked Drew McIntyre and beat the hell out of him and left the ring. Miz and John Morrison continued the attack on Drew McIntyre. But Sheamus came out from entrance and attacked Bobby Lashley on the ramp. WWE officials came out to seperate them and MVP clams down Bobby Lashley.
– Sheamus at backstage for an interview with Sarah Scheriber. She asks Sheamus why he attacked Bobby Lashley, then he says he wants to beat Drew McIntyre at Fastlane with 100% and no excuses. But Bobby Lashley interfering in his business. Sheamus wants to have a match with Bobby Lashley tonight because after he wants to show Lashley what he won’t be able to do at WrestleMania.
– Drew McIntyre defeated The Miz via submission.
– Braun Strowman walking at backstage, looks in bad mood. He went towards rings and calls out Shane McMahon. Music hits and here comes the Shane McMahon.
Shane McMahon says he is sensing some hostility and aggression, and don’t know why Braun calls him out. Braun mentions that he how he was bullied by guys like Shane McMahon. It’s because Shane grew up and went to Ivy League schools doesn’t make him smarter than Braun. Shane is insulted but Braun never makes fun of anybody. Shane McMahon came out her and apologized, which McMahon’s never apologize.
Braun says Shane came out to apologise but he got fumbled because he’s scared of Braun. Shane doesn’t have guts to say what he wanted to say. Braun says Shane wants match against him but he doesn’t have guts to say it. Then, Braun proposes match with Shane McMahon tonight.
Then, Shane says Braun can’t handle him because Braun is stupid. But Braun Strowman says him to shut up and answer his challenge. Shane says if Braun wants a Brains vs. Braun kind of match for tonight the he got it.
– Lana, Naomi, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke walking at backstage and R-Truth interrupts them. Truth is doing his best to impersonation of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Then, Mandy Rose reminds him that 3:16 day is tomorrow, not today. Naomi says her team had match tonight, which is going to win by them. Truth drinks some beers and stomping away like Stone Cold.
– Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose defeated Lana and Naomi via Pinfall.
– Riddle with his scooter approaches New Day and wishes them good luck for their title match tonight. They had some comedy together and Riddle hypes them as they head towards ring.
– Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defeated Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander and became the New Raw Tag Team Champions.
– After Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods winning the Tag Team Titles, AJ Styles came out with Omos. Styles congratulated New Day for their title win and mentions his title wins. He says he doesn’t have anything at WrestleMania 37 right now and Omos makes it known that they want Raw Tag Team Titles. AJ taunts and challenged them for Raw Tag Team Titles. And The New Day accepts the challenge.
– 24/7 Champion Bad Bunny along with Damian Priest at backstage and having some words with The Miz and John Morrison. Then, R-Truth appears suddenly, he says he’s not here for title change but to sharing Stone Cold merchandise to Bad Bunny. Then, Bad Bunny says that he had respect for him and the game and handed 24/7 title to R-Truth. Bad Bunny and Damian Priest walks off. After that we see, Akira Tozowa, Drew Gulak and few other starts chasing R-Truth.
– Damian Priest defeated Jaxson Ryker via Pinfall in quick match. After the match, Elias attacks Damian Priest and tries to hit him guitar. But Bad Bunny take out guitar from Elias and tosses it out. Then, Elias tries to slam Bunny but he escapes. Then, Damian Priest Hits the Lights in middle of the ring to Elias.
Priest and Bunny celebrates in the ring, then Miz and John Morrison came out. Miz and Morrison applauds Bad Bunny and Damian Priest, but suddenly Miz hit Bunny with guitar. Priest looks shocked and tries to attack Miz but Miz runs aways, Priest checks on Bad Bunny and warns Morrison, who is on the ramp.
– Sarah Scheriber at backstage with Bobby Lashley for an interview, but MVP interrupts them and says he’s heated about what Sheamus did earlier. He will get the same tonight his match against Bobby Lashley and also McIntyre will get same at WrestleMania.
– Shane McMahon in the ring for a match and Braun Strowman came out. Shane then stops Braun and says it was long time he had a match, needs some warm up. Shane did some push ups and jumping jacks at ringside. Then, Shane asks Braun to help him to count the number but Braun started chasing Shane around the ring.
Braun Strowman catches Shane McMahon and puts him through barrier. Then, Braun yells at Shane and rans around the ring but Shane hits Strowman with camera. And continued to attack while he’s down. Shane puts Strowman on the announce table and hits the big elbow drop from the top of the rope. Then, Shane grabs Braun beard and yells at him and poured green slime over the Braun. Referee calls Shane to back off but Shane takes another bucket and poured over Braun Strowman. Then, Shane McMahon gets into the Brain’s face and says never challenge him again and left.
– Alexa Bliss at backstage swinging on swing on her playground with pentagram next to her and had box in it. Bliss says if Orton wants her to be out of his life, then he should take her out of it. Then, Bliss says he will him that chance at WWE Fastlane and will Orton take that chance. She starts laughs to end the segment.
– Asuka defeated Shayna Baszler via Pinfall. After the match, Baszler took out Asuka with Kurfida clutch and tries to hit Asuka on face. But Asuka catches her leg and hits German suplex. She continued to attack Baszler and put her through the exposed turnbuckle. Then, she hits Baszler teeth for exposed steel again. Referee came out to seperate them and Baszler tries to get on her feet. Auska celebrates as she got her revenge.
– Riddle defeated Mustafa Ali via Pinfall and retained his WWE United States Championship. After the match, RETRIBUTION tries to get Riddle but he escapes, then, Mustafa Ali yells at RETRIBUTION.
– Sarah Scheriber at backstage with Randy Orton and asks about Alexa Bliss challenge for one on one match at WWE Fastlane. Then, Orton brings up Bliss telling her to kick her out of his life. Orton laughs and says he will just do same thing at Fastlane.
– Drew McIntyre in the ring and brings up MVP promise earlier and says fans don’t like if they don’t do it. Then, Drew says he and Sheamus will bring a level of physicality like never before at WWE Fastlane on Sunday. Drew says Sheamus is looking to take him out at last stop of WrestleMania but he will take out Sheamus and then take the WWE Title from Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37. He’s here because he wants to see the main event in front row as he was excited for this match.
– Bobby Lashley defeated Sheamus via Pinfall. After the match, MVP came to the rings and handed WWE title to Lashley and he raises high. Then, he stares at Drew McIntyre as McIntyre does. Then, Lashley applied Hurt Lock on Sheamus but Drew McIntyre came into the ring and Lashley left Sheamus, then, Drew McIntyre hits Claymore to the Bobby Lashley. Sheamus tries to get up to his feet and McIntyre watching him and saying something and Raw goes off air.
