CM Punk recently had an interview with TMZ Sports and discussed about several topics including his potential return to the ring. Punk stated that he’s busy with a lot TV and movies right now but never say never to the return.
He also said that he’s currently 42 of age and needed little more training, especially returning to the MMA. Here what CM Punk said:
“I’m busy doing a lot of TV and movies right now, and there’s a lot more gray in this beard than even a year ago. I never say ‘never’, but I’m 42. I’m getting a little long in the tooth, especially for MMA. I still train but getting in the cage and fighting is a different animal.”
“You got to commit to a long training camp, especially for me, because I started way late, so my knowledge of everything and my experience is at a lower level. I just decided to fight at the highest level for some silly reason.”

During the same interview, CM Punk also discussed about Chris Jericho’s appearance on WWE’s Broken Skull Sessions. He stated that Vince McMahon isn’t afraid of AEW because if he was he wouldn’t allowed to happen Chris Jericho’s appearance.
“Honestly, my knee-jerk reaction, opinion on it is, I think that shows that Vince McMahon isn’t afraid of AEW at all, ’cause if he was, he wouldn’t allow it to happen. Anytime anybody is talking about you, it’s good. There will be people that don’t know AEW exists who will watch it and say, ‘Oh, wow, cool. I didn’t know that. I just thought Jericho was retired.’ But there is also something to be said about keeping your guys special and the ‘only place you can see this superstar is my television show.’ But, you know, it’s a new age, and I think both companies need the eyeballs they can get at the moment. So, you know, kudos to everybody involved.” (H/T: SK Wrestling)
