The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre recently had an interview with Riju Dasgupta of SK Wrestling and discussed about several topics.
During the interview, the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre revealed that he have been waiting for a long time to face Edge in the ring. He also little disappointed for Edge choosing Roman Reigns over him after he winning the Royal Rumble match. Here what Drew McIntyre said about Edge:
“I can’t wait for it to happen. I’ve been waiting a very long time. I’ve to say I’m a little disappointed he didn’t choose Drew McIntyre and the WWE Championship as the match. It was pointed out recently that it was his first match on SmackDown in about 10 years. His last match was with a young Drew McIntyre.” (H/T: SK Wrestling)
However, Drew McIntyre lost his WWE Title to The Miz after he cashing-in his Money in the Bank at Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Later, Bobby Lashley won the WWE Title from The Miz and Lashley is all set to defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37 Night One.
During the interview, McIntyre was asked about his thoughts on his upcoming WWE Title match against Bobby Lashley. Then, he said that outside WWE they have worked hard from the scratch and build themselves and had some great matches.
Now, in WWE they had worked way to the top of the card, to main event WrestleMania and their 20-year journey make it happened. He also stated that he’s very confident to take WWE Title from Bobby Lashley. Here what Drew McIntyre said:
“Outside the company is where we really had to start working hard because we didn’t take advantage of those big opportunities and we had to start from scratch, we had to start building ourselves up, trying to find ourselves, starting to reach our potential. We had the chance to face each other and have some big matches and do some cool stuff. I’m very proud of those matches. But now after we worked our way back to WWE, worked our way to the top of the card, worked our way to the main event of WrestleMania for the WWE Championship. While speaking with Riju Dasgupta, Drew McIntyre also had high praise for former 24/7 Champion Bad Bunny. He said that Bad Bunny took it very seriously and working extremely hard, he will surprise lot of people at WrestleMania 37. Here what Drew McIntyre said about Bad Bunny:
“I see him in the ring, I see him working extremely hard, I see him showing up every week, and that is somebody I am proud to have part of the show. They bring such a huge name to the show, but if somebody is a big name and they show up, but don’t take it seriously, then I don’t want them. He takes it seriously; he’s working hard and I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people with his match with Miz at WrestleMania.” (H/T: SK Wrestling)
