The Rated-R Superstar Edge recently appeared as special guest on Sports Illustrated Media Podcast and discussed about several topics including his friend Christian joining AEW.

The Captain Charisma Christian returned to the ring at WWE Royal Rumble 2021 match and had a short reunion with his friend Edge. Following his in-ring return, fans expected many dream matches involving him in WWE but surprisingly Christian signed with AEW a month later.
During the interview, Edge was asked of he’s disappointed about Christian joining AEW, then, Edge said that he wants him to be happy and get respect he deserves wherever he’s going. Here what Edge said about Christian Cage:
“I’m not bummed. I want him to be happy and I want him to get the respect that he deserves because I’d like for him to get the on-air respect that the locker room shows him. If you ask anyone within our industry, he’s a name where people go, ‘Man, that dude.’ Watch Steve [Austin] and Randy [Orton] talk about [Christian] and what he brings to the table. I want him to be wherever he’s going to get that respect.”
“Whatever the initials are, he’s my best friend and I want him to be happy and do what I’m hopefully able to do, which is go out on your own terms and see this thing through properly instead of ‘you’re done.’ We’ve both been in that scenario.” (H/T: Fightful)

My first singles match in 7 years.

I don’t believe in ring rust.
