We are just one day away from biggest event of WWE – WrestleMania and match card of the event of filled with top matches. But WWE initial had plans for former Universal Champion Goldberg at WrestleMania 37.
Last year’s WrestleMania 36, Goldberg lost his Universal Championship to Braun Strowman. Later he returned to Raw and challenged Drew McIntyre for WWE Championship at Royal Rumble 2021 event but he lost the match and wasn’t seen then on WWE TV.
According to the Fightful Select report, WWE had initially planned to have Goldberg on WrestleMania 37 card earlier this year. Goldberg’s contract have to wrestle him two matches a year and he had one match at Royal Rumble against Drew McIntyre, in which he lost.
Goldberg was briefly discussed for a program with Drew McIntyre for the Show of Shows until February but it didn’t work out creatively. The Iconic Goldberg still has room for another match this year but it won’t take place at WrestleMania 37.
