The Indian MMA Star Sanjana George recently signed with WWE as one of the Performance Center Class recurits. Following that, she recently had an interview with Deepa Soman of Times of India and discussed about several topics.
Sanjana George opened up about her combat sports background and how she became the part of biggest professinal wrestling company. She admitted that she didn’t have any experience in wrestling and they are training her from scratch.
“I have no prior experience in wrestling, so they are training me from scratch. It’s a challenge, but I have the best coaches in the industry, and I’m getting better every day,” said George.
The 26-year old MMA Star also recalled her first tryout in 2019 for WWE, she didn’t selected for it but now, she’s finally in WWE Performance Center.
“When I heard about it, I was very curious, signed up, and thought I’d give my best, and even if I don’t get selected, it would be an experience for me. There were 3000 applicants; it was a four-day tryout in Mumbai,” revealed George.
During the interview, Sanjana George also revealed about her backstage interaction with NXT Boss Triple H and he wished him goog luck.
“It was a very brief meeting. But I got to say ‘Hi, it’s an absolute privilege to meet you,’ and he said ‘good luck!'”
She also revealed that she is a huge fan of The Rock and Ronda Rousey and considers them as her idols.
“The Rock and Ronda Rousey were my idols. I have followed their journey from the time I was an athletic little girl, trying out everything under the sun, sports-wise.”
