Before arrival to main roster, WWE talent spend several years in developmental system of the company. In 2010, Paige and Roman Reigns were paired up by Dusty Rhodes during the Florida Wrestling Championship (FWC) promo class. Recently, Paige recalled the one of the promo with Roman Reigns when there in developmental system.
The former Divas Champion Paige recently appeared as special guest on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions Podcast and discussed about several topics. While speaking with Renee Paquette, Paige said that Dusty Rhodes wanted her to break up with Roman Reigns for stealing her toaster. Then, Paige revealed that how she felt enbarassed after reading a love letter to Roman Reigns, who was known as Leakee that time.
“I was so embarrassed, and then I had to look at him and do this promo, and it was just so bad. The promo the next week, he [Dusty Rhodes] was just like, ‘Okay, baby, here he is again, Leakee, go up there, baby. You’re gonna do another one.’ He was like, ‘Pretend you’re reading a love letter. I wanna see all the emotion in your face, baby.’ So I had to pretend to read a love letter and I was like, ‘Urgh, this is so embarrassing.’ So yeah, that stuff would happen all the time.” (H/T: SK Wrestling)
Even though they Paige and Roman Reigns worked together on promos at backstage, they never aligned with eachother on WWE TV. Roman Reigns made his WWE debut in 2012 while Paige moved to main roster in 2014.
