Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that WWE had plans to make Mojo Rawley as big superstar in WWE back in 2012.
It was also noted that the first idea is to make him a powerhouse like Bill Goldberg in WWE but as the time passed, creative plans have changed constantly and also various factors affected Mojo Rawley’s WWE career.
“He was highly touted as a future superstar when signed in 2012. The first idea I heard for him was to make him into a Bill Goldberg powerhouse. But then that idea changed, and it was constant changes and all downhill.”

Dave Meltzer also unsure about his next destination as Mojo Rawley is clearly seen as lower mid-card talent in WWE. It was also noted that Rawley has to face the challenge of changing fans perception towards him if he wants to continue wrestling in future.
Along with Mojo Rawley, WWE also released some reputed names like Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Peyton Royce, Billie Kay and more.
