Binaca Belair defeated The Boss Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 Night One main event to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Following that match, fans expected that Banks would get her rematch for title at WrestleMania Backlash but it didn’t happening.
Sasha Banks former tag team partner Bayley got the opportunity against the Binaca Belair. It’s official that Binaca Belair will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bayley at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16th.

According to the Ringside News, the source close to WWE told them that ‘there were no plans except for Bayley vs. Belair’ after WrestleMania 37. But it’s not the reason for changing the plans of rematch between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.
It was noted that The Boss Sasha Banks to have little time off and that let Bayley and Binaca have their spotlight. So, when Sasha Banks attacks Belair, it actually means something.
It was also reported that they didn’t want to throw all it away in Triple Threat Match by adding Sasha Banks into match but instead they want to let it play out without smashing the accelerator. The former Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will eventually get a rematch against Bianca Belair but they are in no hurry to make it happen.
