CM Punk last wrestled in WWE over seven years ago and fans are excited to see him to return to the company. Previously, there were rumors revolved around his return but it didn’t happen. Now, it seems that Punk’s possible return is still wide open by Triple H’s recent comments.
‘The Game’ Triple H recently appeared as special guest on Pardon My Take podcast and discussed about several topics including possible appearance of major NFL star at WrestleMania 37. While speaking in the interview, Triple H was asked about when he last spoke to CM Punk and possibility of his return to the company.
Then, Triple H revealed that he spoke to CM Punk a year and three quarters ago. And about his return, Triple H said that if CM Punk is interested to work with the company, there are open for it but it all depends on making a call by CM Punk. Here what Triple H said about CM Punk:
“Last time I talked to [Punk]? A year and a half, a year and three quarters ago. A funny thing that people will constantly will say when his return is, but in some way, that has to be what he wants. People go, ‘make the call.’ Who says if we make the call that he wants to answer? What if we make the call and he’s like, ‘I’m not interested in doing that anymore.’ Maybe he’s just done with it. Those are conversations that only those people can directly answer.”
“If he wants to do it, we would get word and have those conversations or he would make a call. There has to be a desire there to do something like that. This business is too all in to just go, ‘Ehhhh, alright, I’ll do it.'” (H/T: Fightful)
