Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Tampa, Florida. WWE annouced one match and segment for tonight’s show.
WWE annouced that Apollo Crews will defend his Intercontinental Championship on tonight’s Smackdown but didn’t revealed the opponent. It was also announced that will be out tonight to challenge Universal Championship Roman Reigns.
Here The WWE Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s show opened with Cesaro in the ring with mic and started to speak something but he was interrupted by The Messiah Seth Rollins. He started taunting Cesrao and congratulated for finally reaching his potential because he was in the ring with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 37. He says that he made Cesaro to shine and bring him up all the way from the down to the Promise Land.
Seth Rollins asks where is his thanks that he haven’t heard anything but he heard that Cesrao is moving on from Seth Rollins and kept his sight on Universal Championship. Rollins says that like he said last week, this isn’t over because nothing is over until Seth Rollins says so.
Seth Rollins blames rain delay at WrestleMania 37 for losing his match and it wasn’t for that, Cesrao can’t beat Rollins on Rollins worst day and Cesrao’s best day. Cesrao says he’s having great day but it would be even better if Seth Rollins comes into the ring so he can prove that he can beat Rollins once again. Seth Rollins says is it a challenge and started going towards the ring but music hits, Jey Uso comes outs.
Jey Uso says Cesrao to better listen Seth Rollins and goes about how Cesrao can’t beat him and Roman Reigns. Jey says that his family disrespected Cesrao and he’s going to do the same for him tonight. Jey Uso going towards ring but Seth Rollins stops him and talks about strategy that they both double team on Cesrao. But music interrupts, Daniel Bryan came out and joins Cesrao in the ring.
Seth Rollins and Jey Uso not interested to get in the ring. Bryan asks where they are going and says that they actually didn’t come out for a reason they say. Jey came out because Cesrao wants Universal Title shot and Rollins came out because of his embarassing loss at WrestleMania 37. Bryan says he came out here because to make sure Cesrao gets what’s he deserves.
Bryan says he had infinite amount of respect for Cesrao because he works harder than everybody else including Rollins, Jey, Bryan and Roman Reigns. Bryan says Reigns was at this position because of his family connections and Cesaro hasn’t got a one break for his entire career for Universal Title.
Daniel Bryan asks if Seth and Jey are coming to fight them? Probably not. Is Roman Reigns coming out to accept the challenge? Probably not. Bryan says that Roman Reigns might come to triple team on them. Music hits, here comes the Universal Champion Roman Reigns along with Paul Heyman.
Seth Rollins watches it from the middle of ramp and Jey Uso joins them. Reigns taunts Bryan for defeating him at WrestleMania 37 and shows off his new t-shirt that has Roman Reigns stacked pin of Edge and Daniel Bryan. He says the bottom one was Bryan, means he’s a loser and Cesrao is a loser for letting Bryan to speak for him. Reigns further calls them top tire loses, main event losers. Reigns says they are dumb losers for talking trash while surrounded by people that they want it kick their ass. Reigns wishes good luck and walks off, while, Jey Uso and Seth Rollins heading towards ring.
– Cesaro and Daniel Bryan defeated Seth Rollins and Jey Uso via Pinfall in tag team match. At the end of the match, Seth Rollins walks off saying he doesn’t need this because he’s Seth f’n Rollins. After the match, Bryan and Cesrao celebrates in the ring.
Daniel Bryan takes the mic and calls out Universal Champion Roman Reigns and taunts him. Then, Jey Uso tries to attack from behind but Cesaro drops him. Cesrao takes Jey Uso to swing and Daniel Bryan counts it. Bryan continued to taunt the Reigns, Jey Uso gets to his feet again, then, Cesrao hits uppercut. Bryan says he doesn’t know Roman Reigns is coming out to answer Cesrao challenge because Reigns is afraid of those swings. Cesaro also started taunting Roman Reigns.
Cesaro says Reigns not saving his cousin’s shows, he’s not a family man and this shows what kind of man he is. Bryan says maybe Cesaro should swing Jey Uso once again and fans pop. Cesrao swings Jey Uso once again and Bryan taunts Roman Reigns about coming out to save Jey Uso. Bryan says how Roman Reigns can’t beat him and Edge at WrestleMania 37 without Jey Uso help and he knows he can’t beat Cesrao too. Bryan says Roman Reigns know that if he faces Cesaro in one-on-one match, then, Cesrao will become new Universal Champion. Fans cheers and Cesrao music hits.
– Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville talking at Backstage and Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews shows up with Commander Azeez. Crews is furious about defending his title tonight and threatens that Azeez would hit Big E with another Nigerian Nail. Pearce says Big E will get his shot when he’s able to, but tonight Crews will defend his IC Title against Kevin Owens.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Jey Uso and asks about Seth Rollins leaving earlier in their match. Jey says he doesn’t give damn about Cesrao or Seth Rollins because he’s about to throw up. He yells about Cesaro disrespecting and he’s about to get put down and walks off.
– Tamina Snuka defeated Nia Jax via Pinfall. At the end of the match, Shayna Baszler and Reginald have words at ringside, Jax got distracted and Tamina hits superkick and pinned Jax for victory. After the match, Jax looks anger at Shayna Baszler and Reginald, things doesn’t going well between them.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Kevin Owens. He says it’s been a year for his last Intercontinental Title shot and he’s waiting for it. He wasn’t expecting this opportunity but he’s not going to turn it down. A lot of people trying to take title away from Apollo Crews and he’s glad to be one of them.
Big E walks up laughing, saying Owens jumped the line as he knows it’s Big E’s match and his title. Kevin Owens says that Big lost the title at WrestleMania 37 and he’s probably right about getting rematch but tonight it’s Kevin Owens opportunity. Owens says he will have fun because he’s going to defeat Apollo Crews and title will become his. Both started laughing forcefully until Owens walks off and Big E stares at him.
– Daniel Bryan walks upto WWE Producer Adam Pearce at backstage and asks about Cesrao getting Universal Title shot. Pearce says it’s not that easy bit he will try, Bryan says Pearce to do more than try.
– Apollo Crews defeated Kevin Owens via Pinfall and retained his Intercontinental Championship. During the match, Sami Zyan came out and joined the commentary team. At the closing moments, Azeez distracted Kevin Owens and Crews took the advantage and rolled up for pin to retain his IC Title.
After the match, Kevin Owens hits Stunner to Apollo Crews, then, Azeez came in and took out Kevin Owens with Nigerian Nail. Apollo Crews and Azeez walks off, Sami Zyan enters the ring and dances while Owens laid down.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Paul Heyman asking about if Roman Reigns will accept Cesrao’s challenge tonight. Heyman talks about how he admires, respect and loves Cesrao in professional way. Heyman says we will hear from Tribal Chief Roman Reigns tonight before the show ends.
– The new Smackdown correspondent Megan Morant waiting at backstage for Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews. Crews walks up and celebrating his win. He says this is the proof of what will happen if anyone foolish enough to come for his IC Title. But suddenly from behind Big E attacked Crews and take him down. WWE officials take him away and Commander Azeez rushes in to check Apollo Crews.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. She asks about who winm tonight between Alpha Academy and The Mysterios. Ziggler goes with Alpha Academy. Then, Kyla asks about who’s next for Smackdown Tag Team Titles, then, Street Profits interrupts and asks for another title shot. Ziggler tells them to go back in the line and they continued arguing until Bayley shows up. She cool downed the both teams and they walks off.
Then, Bayley talks about her WrestleMania Backlash match against Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Bayley credits herself for preparing Binaca Belair for her match against Sasha Banks but she’s rude. So, Bayley will take the title back from her and will be the top of women’s division. Bayley tells Kayla to tell this to Belair. Montez Ford back over Bayley and he had his wife on speaker phone. Belair says she will be there is take care of this. Bayley says she tell this on her face.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Bayley and Smackdown Women’s Champion Binaca Belair. Binaca asks Bayley to says what she wants to say on her face. But Bayley congratulated her for historic win at WrestleMania 37 and honoured to be as her first opponent for her title. Belair looks shocked and says to Kayla that this is not what she expected. But Bayley suddenly come back and has one more thing..she started laughing and stares at her and walks off.
– Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio defeated Otis and Chad Gable via Pinfall. After the match, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio celebrated in the ring. While they leaving Cesaro and Daniel Bryan came out and the congratulated Mysterios.
– Cesaro and Daniel Bryan in the ring and Cesrao says he’s ready for an answer from Universal Champion Roman Reigns. But Reigns didn’t showed up. Then, Cesaro says they can come back to get an answer from Reigns if they want to. They are waiting in the ring, after a short time, Roman Reigns came out along with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.
Reigns says he can’t believe Cesaro challenged him for Universal Title. But Cesrao doesn’t deserve it and hasn’t earned it. Reigns says this will be always his because he wasn’t get on his level. Roman Reigns says the champ issues challenges here and he looks at Bryan. Reigns says his challenge goes to Daniel Bryan.
Roman says he doesn’t like Bryan, never liked him and never will but he’s going to give him another title shot on next week’s Smackdown. Cesaro tells Bryan to take this title shot and you can do this, you have to. Then, Reigns says Cesrao to shut his mouth. Reigns tells to Bryan that if he loses he never wants to see him again, he should be vanished, disappears and never to be seen in Smackdown again. And the Daniel Bryan accepts the challenge and fans cheers.
Roman Reigns looks at Daniel Bryan, raises the title and says he will never have this because it always be his. Reigns makes his exit taunting Daniel Bryan. Micheal Cole says Bryan will be banished from Smackdown forever if he loses next week. Bryan and Cesrao looks at Roman Reigns and Jey Uso as they make their way to back and Smackdown goes off air.
