Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. WWE announced two huge title matches for the show.
The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan with stipulation that if Bryan fails to win the match, then, he would be banished from the WWE SmackDown forever. And also Apollo Crews set to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Big E.
WWE also announced that Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair will team up with Street Profits to face Bayley and Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
Here The WWE Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opened with Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and welcomes everyone to the cool-est, dopp-est and hott-est show on FOX, Friday Night Smackdown. Then, she tries to speak something but Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupts here.
Dolph Ziggler says if they want to choose anyone to kick-off the Smackdown,then they do it with Dirty Dawgs and Roode asks Belair to let them to take it from here. Ziggler starts ranting how they were the best here but music hits, here comes the Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.
Street Profits says they can’t believe Dolph and Robert just interrupted the Women’s Champion but The Role Model Bayley interrupts Street Profits. Bayley walks to the ring and looks at Belair and starts laughing. Then, Belair drops her and got a huge pop. Bayley strikes back, Street Profits and Dirty Dawgs hits the ring and brawl breaks out.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Daniel Bryan and asks about tonight’s main event Universal Championship Match. Bryan says he’s at peace with the consequences and excited but we should be asking how Roman Reigns is feeling right now. Bryan says he’s confident about his one-on-one match against Roman Reigns and will make him tape out again. Daniel Bryan continued that when he will win Universal Title, the first title defense would be against Cesaro.
– The Messiah Seth Rollins at Backstage and laughs at Daniel Bryan saying Cesrao will get title shot. Rollins predicts that Daniel Bryan will win tonight but Cesrao won’t get the title shot because he’s not going to make it next week. Pat McAfee says it looks like Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro is on for next week’s Smackdown.
– Megan Morant at backstage and approaches WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Jax rants about how they are disrespected on Raw and SmackDown buy suddenly from behind Tamina Snuka and Natalya attacked them.
– Shinsuke Nakamura at backstage and predicts that Daniel Bryan will win tonight’s main event because he has too much to lose. If Roman Reigns retains then he will be coming for him.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik Mysterio. She asks them about potential title shot for them, then, Rey Mysterio says that he had done a lot in WWE but become first father-son duo to win the tag team titles would be a legendary.
– We got the another vignette of Aleister Black and continued the ‘Tales of the Dark Father’ book from last week with chapter ‘Reality’. Black says people look at him, judge him and make assumptions. This is ture nature of now and he always lived in that reality. He talks about the life of high schools and colleges, says people imagine thinking that it’s all real but you built on foundation of lies.
Black says his father never taught him any of that and never fed him with lies. His father taught him only the truth. Black says there is something horrible with the society and he could help them to give the key to escape but he will not do that.
– Megan Morant at backstage with Big E and asks if he changed his strategy after losing to Apollo Crews at WrestleMania 37. Big E says people asking what he will do different in this rematch, he and Apollo Crews came around and around but tonight this all will end because he’s getting his baby back. Big E says tonight he will become three time Intercontinental Champion and you have got to feel that.
– Big E defeated Apollo Crews via disqualification and Crews is the still Intercontinental Champion. At the closing moments, Big E hits Big ending and goes for pin but Commander Azeez breaks the pin and attacked Big E.
After the match, Azeez continued attacking Big E and Kevin Owens came out to help Big E. But Azeez takes on Owens and tries to hit Nigerian Nail but Big E save and double teamed on him. Azeez then took out Big E with headbutt and unloaded on Kevin Owens. Sami Zyan appeares from no where and hits Helluva Kick to Owens. Azeez took out Big E.
Now, Sami Zyan has IC Title on his hands and Azeez and Crews stares at him. Sami tells them to take it easy and he has no problems. He raises Apollo Crews hands for the victory but suddenly Azeez hits Nigerian Nail on the Sami and stands tall over Sami Zyan.
– Micheal Cole sends us the selfie video of The Miz. Miz predicts that Roman Reigns will win tonight’s main event and says no one in the entire Smackdown can beat Roman Reigns and definitely Bryan cannot do it.
– Cesaro at Backstage and he accepts the Seth Rollins challenge for a match next week. He also predicts that Daniel Bryan will win tonight and he win title from Bryan at WrestleMania Backlash.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Paul Heyman and asks about Daniel Bryan. Heymam says he’s so tired of hearing about Bryan. He acknowledges some of the Daniel Bryan’s success and accomplishments, then, talks about how everyone thinks that Daniel Bryan will win tonight and take the place of Head of the Table but will it happen tonight? No he will not do this, he will not do that and he will not be seen in Smackdown again.
– Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan via submission and successfully retained his Universal Championship. After the match, Roman Reigns brings the two steel chairs and tries to hit the head shot but Cesaro came out for save.
Cesaro takes out Roman Reigns and hits couple of uppercuts and tosses him to the ring but suddenly from behind Jey Uso attacked Cesaro. Jey warped Cesaro’s arms to the ropes and Roman Reigns hits Con-Chair-To to Daniel Bryan. Then, Roman Reigns taunts the Cesaro and Smackdown goes off air.
