Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. It’s a special WrestleMania edition of Smackdown and WWE announced big matches for show.
Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode set to defend their titles against Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio, Street Profits and Otis and Chad Gable in fatal four-way tag team match.
WWE also announced the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal for the tonight’s show and we will hear the final words from the Daniel Bryan, Edge and Roman Reigns about their Universal Championship Match before WrestleMania event.
Here The Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opened with Daniel Bryan making his way to the ring. Bryan says we are close to WrestleMania 37 and everyone is excited. He’s excited to see the the set, smell the pyro, feel the human air at Raymond James Stadium but he’s most excited to hear the roar from the WWE fans. Bryan continued that WWE ThunderDome is incredible but there is absolutely nothing like wrestling infront of live fans. And there’s absolutely nothing like winning Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37 main event infront of the live crowd.
Bryan goes on about the critisism against him about that he don’t deserved to include in the main event of WrestleMania. Bryan says he damn does deserves to be in the main event. Daniel Bryan says he’s damn lucky that everytime people says no, his mentors and parents told him to ignore negativity. Daniel continued that doctors said that he would never wrestle again but he said yes he would do it. People saod he would never win World Championship after his return but he said yes. People said he would never tap out Roman Reigns but he said yes. Can Daniel Bryan main event WrestleMania again? First Adam Pearce said no then he said yes.
Bryan says this Sunday it’s the biggest match in his career, a Triple Threat Match for Universal Title. Edge and Roman Reigns are the two most dangerous men in WWE but they are going to face the best version of Daniel Bryan that they never seen, the most dangerous version, the same one that tapped out Roman Reigns, who will do anything to win. Daniel Bryan he has last one question, Can he walk out as Universal Champion at WrestleMania 37? Yes.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Street Profits and they are hyped for their Smackdown Tag Team Titles match but suddenly from behind Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode attacked them. Brawl continued to the stage and Angelo Dawkins got yhe upper hand, then, Otis and Chad Gable came out to join them. Now, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio came out and four teams brawled at ringside.
– Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler defeated The Street Profits, The Alpha Academy and The Mysterios via Pinfall and retained their Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Bianca Belair. Bianca says she has butterflies to challenge Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37. That’s not a bad thing as she’s nervous and excited. She remembers the advice from her dad and thinks about how he raised her. She says she’s confident about her lifetime opportunity. She’s working hard for so long and now entire world is going to watch it. Bianca Belair says she wins the Smackdown Women’s Title and it’s the biggest night for her.
– WWE aired the video package of Intercontinental Champion Big E visiting Tampa last week. He’s cutting promo about his challenger Apollo Crews while visiting his barber. Big E then visits Down Tampa and Tampa Preparatory School. He talks about being taught disciplined and where he wrestled at school. He then visits the Raymond James Stadium and recalls that he played high school championship game here three years ago. Big E says he walk into WrestleMania with title and walk out of the event with title. Announcers mentions that Wale will perform the Big E’s entrance at WrestleMania 37.
– Tamina Snuka defeated Nia Jax via disqualification. At the end of match, Shayna Baszler attacked Tamina to cause disqualification. After the match, Natalya rushes into the ring and takes out Shayna Baszler.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Riott Squad but they are interrupted by Billie Kay and Carmella. Kayla asks Riott Squad about winning Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania, then, Carmella mocks them and says titles belongs to Kay and her. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, Lana and Naomi walks up and all the teams started brawling. Now, Natalya and Tamina Snuka also joined then and took out all other teams and stood tall.
– Edge makes his way to the ring with steel chair and sits in the middle of the ring. Edge talks about how he became the WWE superstar and accomplished everything. He talks about career ripped away from him and this is all he wanted to do. Then, he fought back to get right his ripped career and he’s back to steal the show at WrestleMania main event.
Edge says Daniel Bryan used sympathy angle to be inserted into the match. He says a month in Daniel Bryan career is like a year for him. Edge says how Bryan used different ideas and some how he made it Triple Threat Match. Edge says it’s should be one-on-one match, a clash between two eras but now it had some indie bookstore troll sticking his nose in their business.
Now, Edge address Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Edge says Reigns is walking around like he owes something to him. Edge says he owes nothing to him but Reigns owes him. Edge says Reigns is a Samoan Edge because he came in with a three-man group, he did his entrance through the crowd, and he uses a Spear. Edge says there match had ripped away and fans also had match ripped away but some fans into Daniel Bryan.

Edge says he hasn’t received the respect he deserved since he’s come back. He touts his Royal Rumble performance and says he shouldn’t have to jump through hoops. He says that he came back from something no one in the history of sports has came back and no one had idea of amount of pain he had.
Edge says it’s time for him to take and demand respect he deserves. People will put respect on his name and in case of you forgot the name, he’s Rated-R Superstar and he’s the next Universal Champion.
– Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville at backstage talking about Triple Threat Universal Championship Match at WrestleMania 37. Deville thinks it’s isn’t fair for Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode had to defend their titles against three teams. She also doesn’t think Triple Threat at WrestleMania is fair. Sonya says Daniel Bryan deserves a title shot but it should be Edge vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks and asks her response about what Bianca Belair said. Banks says Belair may be the EST of WWE but she isn’t best because Banks is always best. Tomorrow night she’s going to give back one more time to Belair in Boss style. Banks says she will make Bianca Belair tap out and make realize this place belongs to Sasha Banks and will walk out as Champion from WrestleMania.
– We see how Sami Zyan tried to get into the recent training session with Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul but security ended up shutting him out. Sami Zyan at announcers table and says things are fine between him and Logan Paul and promises to beat Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 37. Then, Kevin Owens came out and tries to hit Stunner ro Sami Zyan but he blocks and escapes from their.
– Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out with Paul Heyman. Reigns says he says biggest worry is that he was in the match that he doesn’t have to get pinned to lose. He goes on says Edge and Daniel Bryan having on good week here and there but Reigns is doing it consistently for 30 week’s since Summer Slam and numbers don’t lie. Who made the title relevant? Who changed the ratings of the show? It’s Roman Reigns.
Reigns talks about Daniel Bryan talks about making him tap out, if he would then Bryan would be the champion here and it’s not and he will never be the Champion at Sunday because he can’t make him tap out. Reigns addresses Edge saying that his career has snatched from him, he calls them as dreamers and where the story ends, and his begins. Reigns says he’s the Head of the Table because he’s not a dreamer, as dreamers are selfish. He is the man with a plan and everything he touches had a purpose.
Reigns says he saves careers, right Paul? And then asks Jey Uso who gave him the best year in his career. But he’s not going to do it for Edge and Daniel Bryan, he’s not going to make their dreams true and he’s going to crush them. Reigns says it’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler of main event of WrestleMania 37.
