The Animal Batista recently appeared as special guest on Justice Con and spoke about several topics including about his possible in-ring return in future.
The former WWE Champion Batista last wrestled at WrestleMania 35, in which he lost ‘The Game’ Triple H in No Holds Barred Match. After that he took the Twitter and announced that he’s officially retired from the ring.
@WWEUniverse Thank you for letting me entertain you. I love this business and whether you cheered me or jeered me, I’m grateful for being a small part of your life. I am officially retired from sports entertainment and I am grateful for every second of my amazing journey ✌🏼

While speaking at Justice Con, Dave Batista stated that it’s hard to convince people but he’s done with wrestling and not coming out of retirement. Here what Batista said:
“Don’t put that out there, people will jump all over that [laughs]. ‘He’s coming out of retirement!’ No, I’m not. It’s so hard to convince people that I’m actually retired. You have no idea how tough that discussion is. When a professional wrestler retires, they don’t really retire, they kind of retire. If the paycheck or event is big enough, they’ll come out of retirement. It’s just not that way with me. I exited the business in such a storybook way, I could never go back. I’m just done. I got to finish on my own terms and nothing is going to bring me back and take away from that.” (H/T: Jeremy Lambert of Fightful.com)
Batista was actually scheduled to be inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame 2020 but it was delayed due to pandemic outbreak. Then, he was set to induct this year but Batista didn’t take part this year and requested to induct in future ceremony infront of live fans.
To the @WWEUniverse Unfortunately due to previous obligations I am unable to be a part of the @WWE#HOF this year. By my request they have agreed to induct me at a future ceremony where I’ll be able to properly thank the fans and people who made my career possible🙏🏼 #DreamChaser
