The former WWE Superstar Chris Masters, currently known as Chris Adonis, recently appeared as special guest on INSIGHT, with Chris Van Vliet and discussed about several topics including The Allmighty Bobby Lashley using his finishing move.
During his run in WWE, Chris Masters used Master Lock submission move as his finisher, which is the version of Full Nelson. Currently, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley also using Full Nelson as his finishing move, called as The Hurt Lock.
During the interview, Chris Masters said that it only make sense for Bobby Lashley to use the Full Nelson because he had defeated the Chris Masters’ Lock Challenge when he was in WWE. He also stated that by using this would create an opportunity of ‘Master Lock vs. Hurt Lock’ feud in future if he returns to WWE.
“I’ve talked to MVP about this. It only makes sense. If anybody is going to use the Full Nelson, the guy who broke it and a guy who is a physical force like Bobby Lashley. It only makes sense. It’s funny when he first started using it. All the mentions of people saying ‘That’s The Master Lock, not The Hurt Lock.’ I’d be lying if I didn’t say it didn’t create an opportunity, even if it was small. You know, whose got the best Full Nelson in professional wrestling? But it has been 10 years and finishers are recycled in less time than that. But for no one to use the Full Nelson for 10 years. But yeah, Master Lock vs. Hurt Lock, that makes sense.”
The Allmighty Bobby Lashley put down many opponents by using this Hurt Lock submission move. He also defeated Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37 Night One via Hurt Lock and successfully retained his WWE Championship.
Drew McIntyre once again got an another opportunity for WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view that will take place on May 16th, 2021.
