The former Tag Team Champion Murphy wasn’t seen on WWE TV following his storyline with Aalyah Mysterio. WWE had plans of feud between The Mysterios and Murphy against King Corbin, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler but it was cancelled after release of Culter.

Murphy made couple of appearances on Friday Night Smackdown, during Seth Rollins feud with Cesaro and tried to align with Rollins but it didn’t happen. WWE also had other plans for Murphy to bring back him on WWE TV.
According to the reports from Fightful Select, WWE had plans to reunite Wesley Blake and Murphy as tag team following the release of Culter but it was cancelled by WWE.
There were pitches from WWE creative to reunite Wesley Blake with Buddy Murphy following the release of Cutler.” Obviously, that idea was nixed. (H/T: RingsideNews)


Murphy and Wesley Blake were tag team partner during their run in WWE NXT along with Alexa Bliss on their side. They had good run as tag team partners and also won the NXT Tag Team Titles, later, they got split up.
Then, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler formed as tag team known as The Forgotten Sons in NXT. They also made their debut on main roster on the side of King Corbin to feud against Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio and Murphy. 
Unfortunately, Culter released by WWE for not following company’s safety protocol. WWE also released Wesley Blake last week due to budget cuts.
