Recently it was reported that WWE is in talks with New Japan Pro Wrestling for working partnership to become their exclusive American partner. It’s became a interesting topic of conversation as Vince McMahon promotion didn’t have history of working with other wrestling companies.
NJPW has partnered with multiple promotions over the years and currently, they also working with IMPACT Wrestling and AEW. Several NJPW talent appeared on both the promotions and AEW Superstar Jon Moxley currently holds the IWGP US Heavyweight Title as well.
According to the PWInsider via CageSideSeats, former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan is a major component in discussions between the WWE and NJPW. It was also noted that New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion wants Daniel Bryan to allocate few days for them.
PW Insider says that they were told the “main crux” of the talks between WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling was over Daniel Bryan working some dates for NJPW.
Daniel Bryan last match came against Universal Champion Roman Reigns in career vs title match, in which Bryan lost and banished from Smackdown. Later, it was reported that Bryan’s WWE Contract is expired and company is trying to sign new contract with him. Currently, Daniel Bryan is free agent and there is a possibility of seeing him in NJPW.
