Tonight is a throwback edition of Smackdown and we have seen the two returns to the show. Smackdown opened with Universal Champion Roman Reigns along with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.
They all celebrated the Roman Reigns victory over Daniel Bryan last week and announced that they will be replacing Bryan with someone who acknowledges him. They introduced Jimmy Uso, who us returned from the injury and celebrated with his brother Jey Uso, Reigns and Heyman.

Jimmy Uso had been off to WWE TV since his injury at WrestleMania 37 Night One during the Triple Threat Match against Kofi Kingston and John Morrison. It was expected that he might return to WWE in between November 2020 and January 2021 but he had to go additional knee reconstructive surgery. Now, he’s finally back to WWE TV on Smackdown.
Following that, Cesaro interrupts them and had words with Roman Reigns but he was attacked by The Messiah Seth Rollins and brawl broke out. Then, WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long came out and annouced that if Cesaro wins tonight match against Seth Rollins then he will get Universal Title match at WrestleMania Backlash.
