Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns Special Counsel, recently had an interview with DAZN and discussed about several topics including Cesaro’s rise to the main event scene.
The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship in August and since then he was unstoppable. He successfully defended his title against several superstars including Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and Edge. Now, Swiss Cyborg Cesaro is on the line to challenge Roman Reigns for his Universal Title.
During the interview, Paul Heyman said that he loves to have Cesaro on blue brand but Cesaro’s hope of becoming World Champion can happen Raw because he can’t take title from Roman Reigns.
“While I love having him on SmackDown and can’t imagine what RAW could offer SmackDown in terms of a trade, Cesaro’s only hope of being the champion of a brand is to go to RAW because he’s not taking a title away from Roman Reigns,” Heyman said. “He’s just not. It’s not going to happen.”
If Cesaro can’t move to Raw, then, he can challenge Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews and he will have chance of winning it. It would been an intersting matchup but he can’t be at the Reigns level right now.
“Now, [if] Cesaro wants to set his sights on the Intercontinental title, and I happen to like the champion Apollo Crews, Cesaro has a fighting chance there,” Heyman added. “That’s an interesting matchup. But there’s no one that’s at Roman Reigns’ level right now. No one.”
