From past few weeks WWE have cut off their roster by releasing multiple Superstars from the contract. This past week, WWE have fired several backstage employees and the company did it because of ‘redundancies’ in various departments.
According to the report from PWInsider, Executive Vice President of Television Production Kevin Dunn was in charge of latest releases. It was reported that company had too many redundancies in various departments and they can easily managed by merging into small group.
“One of the reasons for so many departures is that over the last year, the company has determined there were too many redundancies across multiple departments in those areas. One example cited to PWInsider.com is that there were two graphics departments, one for WWE TV production and one for digital and that they can easily be merged into one division, meaning the company could get that work done with a smaller group of staffers.”
This report also further states that WWE have realized from their working experience throughout the pandemic that they can easily managed to get the work done with even smaller teams.
WWE has come to terms on the release of Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, Tucker, Kalisto, Bo Dallas and Wesley Blake.
WWE have face much critisism from fans when they released several superstars in the midst of pandemic last year. They also continued that trend this year as they released WWE talent and Backstage staff too.
From the recent releases, WWE surprised fans by releasing Samoa Joe, Micike James, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and more from the main roster. Last week, company have released NXT Talent includes Alexander Wolfe, Kavitha Devi, Jessamyn Duke, Velveteen Dream and more.
WWE Raw Commentator Adnan Virk was also one of the most notable name from the recent releases.
Thanks to @WWE for a wonderful opportunity. The weekly travel along with my other jobs was a grind for me and my family. Am grateful to everyone with the company especially @WWEGraves and @ByronSaxton for being such fantastic teammates. https://t.co/lrP0fCAMXz
