After a long hiatus Aleister Black returned back of WWE TV on last week’s Friday Night Smackdown. With his return, he made a big statement by attacking Big E during the IC Title fatal four-way match, in which Apollo Crews successfully retained.
Fans are excited to see what will happen between Big E and Black next on blue brand but surprisingly both are absent on this week’s Smackdown.
According to the PWInsider, Aleister Black and Big E was at backstage on tonight’s Smackdown but creative simply decided to hold the story for a week. WWE isn’t rushing that feud despite of the big ending from last week.
We are told that was actually a creative decision that was made to let the story hang for a week so as not to rush the feud So, for once, it was a case of creative letting things breathe.
After successful IC Title defense on last week’s Smackdown, Apollo Crews had one-on-one match with Kevin Owens on tonight’s Smackdown. That match was ended in disqualification after Azeez attacking Owens.

Later, Adam Pearce announced that Apollo Crews will defend his IC Title against Kevin Owens on next week’s Smackdown and Commander Azeez will be banned from ringside during that match.
