The 2021 Royal Rumble Winner Edge wasn’t seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania 37 after unsuccessful attempt to dethrone the Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
The Rated-R Superstar Edge main evented on the WrestleMania 37 Night Two along with Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns. It was one of the best matches of the event, which was won by Tribal Chief Roman Reigns by stacked pin on both Edge and Daniel Bryan.
Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract has expired and written off from WWE TV. But Edge simply taken off from the WWE TV without involving in any storyline in blue brand.
On the recent edition of Backstage Report Podcast, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Edge’s WWE status and whether he was dealing with any injuries following WrestleMania 37 main event. Then, Sean Ross Sapp noted that Edge was kept off due to planned time off.
“Planned time off, from what I understand,” said SRS.
Recently, WWE advertising Rated-R Superstar for the July 16th epsiode of Smackdown, which the first show of returning WWE tour and live events. Along with Edge, company also advertising former Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, who wasn’t seen from past few weeks.
