Simone Johnson, daughter of The Rock, has been training at WWE Performance Center since February of 2020. Recently on May, she signed WWE developmental contract an currently in NXT program at WWE Performance Center.
Simone yet to make an appearance on WWE TV but she is impressing those within WWE at Performance Center. On the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed about recent NXT releases and stated that Skylar Storie’s release was a bit of surprise as she is much improved talent.
As of listing from January to May, Brandi Lauren (Skylar Storie) was second most improved in terms of squats and The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson was on top of the list.
“Brandi Lauren [Skylar Storie], who actually, she’s only been with the company since October. She was, I think she was second when it came to most improved in squats, I mean I saw the listing from January to May. They must have been happy in terms of her taking training seriously.”
“Number one, by the way was Simone Johnson, the daughter of Dwayne. So, when you are most improved when it comes to lifting it does say that you’ve been working hard, which is a good thing. Recently, WWE also released Drake Wuertz, Jake Clemons, Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Borne, Ezra Judge, Kavita Devi, Alexander Wolfe and Velveteen Dream.
Recently, it was also reported that WWE filming content with Simone Johnson and returning Zelina Vega at WWE Performance but it’s not clear if this filmed content is used for WWE TV or just a supplemental footage.
