From the past few weeks, WWE making several cuts to their roster and now, WWE longtime announcer Tom Phillips was released by the company.
Tom Phillips worked as Raw announcer but he was moved out of this role after Adnan Virk arrival to the company. Recently, WWE parted ways with Adnan Virk and filled that spot with Jimmy Smith. Now, Tom Phillips let go by the company.

According to the Fightful Select report, Tom Phillips was released by WWE but they didn’t made any official statement about it. Tom Phillips is the lastest affected by WWE’s string of releases.
While not announced officially that Tom Phillips has been let go, he’s the latest in a string of releases affecting backstage personnel and even WWE Studios. We’ve reached out to WWE for confirmation but have yet to hear back. We aren’t sure of the specific arrangement in place for his departure from WWE.
Tom Phillips signed with WWE in 2012 and worked on every brand of the company includes WWE NXT, 205 Live, Main Event, RAW and SmackDown. He also hosted WWE YouTube and WWE Network shows too.
Recently, Tom Phillips also changed his name in social media account to his real name, Tom Hannifan and his bio lists him as “WWE Broadcaster & Producer.”
