Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. It was the WrestleMania Backlash fallout episode of Smackdown and WWE announced one title match for the show.
It was announced that the Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews will defend his title against Sami Zyan, Big E and Kevin Owens in fatal four-way match on tonight’s show.

– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opened with parade of champions on the stage, we see Smackdown Tag Team Champions Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio, Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews along with Commander Azeez and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina Snuka. Sonya Deville in the ring and welcomes us to the extra special edition of Smackdown.

Deville talks about the big news of WWE leaving ThunderDome to return on road, back where WWE belongs, back to the fans. Deville says Adam Pearce was on the ground scouting locations for the 25-city tour and we also see mainstream media coverage of this big announcement.
Sonya introduces every champion on the stage but Crews interrupts and says he’s not happy about defending his IC Title in fatal four-way match. He further says he will retains his title and unleash the destruction on Big E, Sami Zyan and Kevin Owens. Deville introduced SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair last.
Then, Deville says fans to introduce Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Music hits but Paul Heyman came out instead of Roman Reigns and fans boos. Paul Heyman says the parade of champions is nice but it’s not parade of champions but it’s parade of title holders. He points at each champion and calls them as title holders and says Reigns is not a title holder, he’s a champion, not just a champion, THE champion, the preeminent champions, of all of WWE, and all of sports entertainment.
Paul Heyman says fans will buy tickets for upcoming events with a confidence that WWE is represented by the preeminent champion like our Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and he will not be participating in this parade of champions. But there will be a parade of champions later at Reigns leisure and Heyman thanked Deville and left to backstage.
Sonya says it’s a first surprise of the evening but probably not last and asks fans to applaud the champions once again. The Role Model Bayley interrupts them and hits the ring. She’s mad for not recognising her title reign through ThunderDome era. Then, Bayley takes shot at each champion on the stage. She takes a shot at Dominik for riding his dad’s little coattails and knocks Natalya and Tamina Snuka but said what’s up to Apollo Crews.
Bayley, then, accused Binaca Belair as criminal for stealing victory at WrestleMania Backlash using her hair. Bayley wants Sonya Deville to strip Binaca of the title and Belair coming towards Bayley and both have words exchange m Bayley says she wants her rematch and goes to exit the ring but suddenly from behind Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax attacked Binaca Belair, Bayley also joins them. Natalya and Tamina Snuka came to help Belair but heels got upper hand. At the end, Bayley, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax stood tall.

– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Big E and he hypes tonight’s fatal four-way main event for Intercontinental Championship. Big E says this is what he asked for, a chance to show he’s the best among the very best. He further says when he leaves arena tonight, he will be leaving as rightful Intercontinental Champion and got have feel that.
– We got the another vignette of Aleister Black and he reads the chapter 4 from ‘Takes from the Dark Father’, named ‘Beautiful Pain’. Father blessings are painfully etched in his body and that pains serves a purpose. He says there’s no lying in pain, it’s honest and truth. Where would we be without this truth, without this functional armor of agony? So lets hear it for the bleak, desert of misery we hide our deepest, darkest sins. Sins that you manifest.
Black says his father always says there isn’t an art to being evil but this is full of cruel thoughts and evil dreams. You all live proudly in your cesspool of sins and denial because it’s all on you and it has become your identity, to be lonesome and blind. Black further says you all became sick and dying animals and it’s time for him to separate the weak from the strong as said by his father. Then camera focused on tattoos and had Black showing off some of his ink, yelling out with fire/candles around him.
– King Corbin in the ring and says he came out for not speaking but let his actions do the talking. He says Shinsuke Nakamura calls himself as King of Strong Styles but he’s no King. All the fans watching from home don’t know what this is like but a real king wears $40,000 watches, drives a Ferrari, and owns mean dogs of war. He further says real kings will have respect towards crown and tonight he will punish Nakamura and take back his crown.
– Shinsuke Nakamura defeated King Corbin via Pinfall. At the closing moments, Rik Boogz starts playing Nakamura’s theme at ringside, King Corbin distracts and Nakamura rolls up for pin for victory. After the match, Nakamura joins Rik Boogz on the ramp as he plays his theme music.
– Jimmy Uso with Sonya Deville in her locker room and says The Usos are ready to get back together and looking to move forward as best tag team of the century. Then, Sonya asks if Jimmy checked with his brother Jey, then, Jimmy says he wouldn’t be here if he don’t know Jey had his back. Jimmy says they want smoke, they wants Street Profits. Sonya makes it official for next week’s Smackdown.
– Kevin Owens at Backstage and cuts a promo about his Intercontinental Championship fatal four-way match tonight. He talks about how he plans on living up the ‘PrizeFighter’ nickname tonight and will be leaving as three time Intercontinental Champion.
– Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the ring along with his cousin Jey Uso and special counsel Paul Heyman. Reigns says he doesn’t like to brag on live TV, so, he’s giving chance to his special counsel Paul Heyman to celebrate him. Heyman says it’s a unique surprise as he has the moment to honour our Tribal Chief.
Paul Heyman praises Roman Reigns for being undefeated since his return to WWE. He destroyed opponents like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman and others. He brings up the stacked pin on WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37 and how he sent Bryan into Bella retirement. Paul Heyman continued to praise Head of the Table and asks what else he can do for him. Then, Reigns orders Heyman to bring his cousin. Heyman yells at timekeeper to hits Jimmy Uso music but Cesaro music starts playing.
Cesaro came out in a suit and with a sling to his arm. Reigns asks what’s Cesaro going to do if he breaks his another arm. Cesaro says that’s just a flesh wound and he can fight Reigns with no arms. Then, Cesaro challenges a match with Roman Reigns at Hell In A Cell and Reigns asks if he really wants to do it but suddenly Seth Rollins attacks Cesaro from behind. Seth puts Cesaro through the barrier and stomps him on the ground, WWE officials came out to seperate Seth Rollins from Cesaro. Seth continued to beat down Cesaro and hits stomp to Cesaro on steel. Seth had a crazy look while medica checks on Cesaro.
– Megan Morant at backstage with Seth Rollins and he says he doesn’t know what happened out there because he’s blacked out. Medics taking Cesaro on a stretcher, Seth grabs him and yells at him, blaming him for everything.
– Jimmy Uso approaches Jey Uso at backstage and tells him about the tag team match against Street Profits next week. Jey looks unhappy as his brother made a tag team match without telling him. Jimmy says he’s looking out his brother after Roman Reigns said he doesn’t need him. Jimmy mentions what Jey Uso capable on his own and recalls how he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Jey says he still needs to inform Roman Reigns about this tag team match. Jimmy looks disappointed.
– Roman Reigns at backstage with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso walks in. Jey Uso tells him about next week’s tag team match against Street Profits and he had nothing to do about it. Reigns asks who ‘we’ is and talks about Jey being selfish. Reigns says this is ‘we’ and everything ‘we’ do represent our family. Then, Reigns hugs Jey and tells something in ears and had some angry look on him.
– The Street Profits at backstage and cuts promo about The Usos. They mocks the Usos and Montez Ford doing an impersonation of Jimmy Uso last week. They getting hyped of the match next week and says they want all the smoke.
– Sami Zyan cuts promo about Intercontinental Championship Match tonight and says no matter what he will win back his Intercontinental Championship tonight.
“I’m sorry, you are a corporate hack. You are a propagandist.”
– Apollo Crews defeated Big E, Sami Zyan and Kevin Owens via Pinfall and successfully retained his Intercontinental Championship. At the closing moments, Big E and Apollo Crews in the ring but suddenly all lights gone low and Aleister Black returned to Smackdown. Crews caught distracted Big E leg and Aleister Black hit the Black Mass to Big E. Then, Crews pinned Big E to retain his Intercontinental Title. After the match, Aleister Black looks from the ramp and Apollo Crews celebrating in the ring and Smackdown goes off air.
