The Miz and Damian Priest faced eachother in Lumberjack match at WrestleMania Backlash. But surprisingly, zombies appeared as lumberjacks during the match. However, Damian Priest won the match by pinning The Miz.
Following that, it was reported that The Miz got injured during the match. It seems that he had torn ACL and will be out of action for several months. Now, we got an update about backstage reaction for the Miz’s injury.
According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Miz’s fellow superstars are surprised by the his injury. It was also noted that people watching the match from backstage thought that something wrong with Miz and no one guessed it would be as severe as torn ACL.

It was also noted that other WWE superstars gave a lot of credit for the former WWE Champion Miz being able to complete the match with his injury condition. It was the The Miz’s first serious injury in his career and it shows his commitment towards work that he was able to finish with gut.
Following the loss against Damian Priest, The Miz was seen as eaten by zombies in the middle of the ring. So, WWE might have used this angle to explain the Miz’s absence on WWE TV. We wish The Miz a speedy recovery from his injury.
