The former Smackdown Women’s Champion Carmella recently appeared as special guest on The Bellas Podcast and discussed about several topics including current booking of WWE’s Women’s Division.

During the chat with WWE Hall Of Famers Nikki Bella and Brie Bella, Carmella also revealed that she was very excited about to start the new gimmick with Billie Kay following the WrestleMania 37.
“I don’t know what the right or wrong things to say is,” Carmella said. “All I can speak from is my experience and we were super excited for this story and I felt like, ‘Okay, I’m done with this whole sexy gimmick that they want me to do, which is fine.’ It’s fun to be sexy, but I feel like I wanted to show my personality more. I wanted to show a little bit more of a fun side.”

On recent appearance in WWE’s The Bump, Carmella stated that she interested to from partnership with Billie Kay and they also had Backstage segment teasing their tag team on blue brand. They two even participated in #1 contender Tag Team Turmoil Match at WrestleMania 37 and fans thought that the duo will continue as tag team in WWE further but surprisingly WWE released Billie Kay.
Carmella stated that she’s looking forward to show a little fun side of her along with Billie Kay but unfortunately WWE released Billie Kay and also Peyton Royce that rocked her.
“I was looking forward to doing that with Billie. Like you said, our entrance alone, she was cracking me up,” Carmella added. “So I was really looking forward to seeing where that was going to go and unfortunately, we can’t do that anymore. Even Peyton, those two were some of my closest friends since they got here. So it was the first time I was really rocked by a release.” (H/T: Fightful)

WWE recently released over ten superstars along with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. That list includes Mickie James, Samoa Joe, Kalisto, Tucker, Mojo Rawley, Bo Dallas, and Wesley Blake.
