This year’s WrestleMania 37 took place at Raymond James Stadium at Tampa Bay, Florida. It’s the first time fans returned back to the arena and became the huge success but the signature pirate ship didn’t used at the event.
The Prizefighter Kevin Owens also stated that he would possibly try as much as can to jump over the pirate ship but sadly it never happened during the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zyan at Show of shows.
According to the Fightful Select report, WWE creative and talent had a lot of discussions about the spot throughout the week but the match not being a No-DQ have became the big difficulty. It was regular singles competition match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zyan, that made harder to put the feat of jumping off from the pirate ship between the match.
It was also noted that weather was also said to be the ‘final nail in the coffin’ for doing the pirate ship spot in the match and also pirate ship was lot larger than it was expected by many people.
“There were discussions between talent and creative throughout the week, but the match not being no-DQ proved a big hurdle,” Sapp wrote. “The ship on the set was also a lot larger than many expected, but the weather as the final nail in the coffin.”
At WrestleMania 37, Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zyan via pinfall. Following that Kevin Owens also attacked Logan Paul and hit the stunner.
