Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio tried to explain the WWE’s decision of hosting Summer Slam on Saturday instead of Sunday. He stated that Allegiant Stadium in Vegas requested that Saturday date but company might change the location keeping that Saturday date.
“So this is the deal, the reason it’s a Saturday is because the stadium in Vegas wanted a Saturday. However, it may not be in Vegas, but they already have the date. The date’s a bad date because it’s the same as Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence.” (H/T: Ringside News)
From the recent reports, it looks 16-time World Champion John Cena might return to WWE and likely to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Summer Slam 2021 PPV. It was also reported earlier that American rapper Cardi B might host the WWE’s biggest event on summer.
