WWE recently released several NXT Superstars and now, another NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream also released by WWE.
As first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider and confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that former NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream released by WWE and no longer part of the company.
I just saw that PWInsider posted this a few minutes ago. Quickly confirmed to me within WWE

Previously, it was reported by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio that Velveteen Dream was spotted Backstage at Monday Night Raw but didn’t made debut on main roster.
Velveteen Dream last wrestled on December 23, 2020 episode of WWE NXT, in which he lost to Adam Cole on main event. Since then, he wasn’t seen on WWE TV.
As first reported by @SeanRossSapp and @PWInsiderCom, sources confirm to me that Velveteen Dream has been released from WWE.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that there were ‘growing concerns’ at backstage that Velveteen Dream was being setup to help coach classes in the future but that obviously not the case.
It was also noted that Canyon Ceman sent out an email about Velveteen Dream’s release for those who in WWE, roughly 4:45 PM EST. And this news of his release broke the internet in minutes later. It was also that like other NXT releases Velveteen Dream also set for 30-day non-compete clause.
