The former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, known as Thea Trinidad, was released by WWE back in November 2020 after the companies new rule on banning use of thrid party platforms. Zelina Vega was one of the few superstars opposed the WWE’s decision.
Now, it seems that Zelina will be returning to WWE. According the reports from Fightful Select, Zelina Vega was seen at WWE Performance Center on Thursday, May 13th and filming something. It was also noted that WWE is working plan for her return to the company.
We’re working to learn the context of Zelina’s appearance at the WWE PC, but have been told the working plan is for her to return to the company.
Zelina Vega was signed with WWE in June 2017 and appeared on NXT, later, she formed alliance with former NXT Champion Andrade. She moved to main roster along with Andrade in 2018 to Friday Night Smackdown.
Following that they moved to WWE Raw and Garza also aligned with them. In 2020, she got split-up from them and started using as singles superstar but shortly after that she got released on November 13, 2020.
It was also noted that Aleister Black, husband of Zelina Vega, was also kept off to WWE TV for several months. Recently, he returned to WWE TV with some cryptic vignettes on Smackdown with new gimmick. It might be interesting to see if Zelina Vega was teamed up with Black on her return.
