The most surprising releases are Alexander Wolfe, Jessamyn Duke and Vanessa Borne. Wolfe was regularly appeared on NXT TV and he also appeared on NXT, in which he lost to Killian Dain and kicked out of IMPERIUM faction.
While Vanessa Borne was one of the got call up to main roster for quite time but never made her debut either on Raw or Smackdown. They still considered as NXT Talent and now got released by the company.
Jessamyn Duke also regularly appeared on WWE YouTube channel Up Up Down Down as part of team B.R.E. with Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, and Mia Yim. Now, there will be spot left on this team.
Release of NXT referee Drake Wuertz didn’t surprise as he was center of controversy for recent times. His recent behaviour about not wearing masks led a argument during a Florida Board meeting over Zoom while wearing his NXT polo.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select also reported that the most of the released NXT Superstars are slated for 30-day non-compete clause compared to the 90-day non-compete clause of recent main roster releases.
