WWE WrestleMania Backlash Full Results (May 16th, 2021)

WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021 pay-per-view will take place inside WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida on May 16th, Sunday.

The big matches for the tonight’s show are The Allmighty Bobby Lashley going to defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman in Triple Threat Match and The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Cesaro in singles match.
Other title matches are Rhea Ripley will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair in Triple Threat Match and Binaca Belair will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bayley.

And also Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode set to defend their Smackdown Tag Team Titles against Rey Mysterio and Dominik, and Damian Priest will face The Miz in Lumberjack match.

Here The WrestleMania Backlash PPV Full Matches And Results With Short Review:

– Sheamus defeated Ricochet via Pinfall in a non-title match. After the match, Sheamus celebrates in the ring with his title. He puts his jacket and hat back and talks about open challenge but suddenly from behind Ricochet attacked Sheamus and put him down to floor. 
Ricochet wears Sheamus jacket and hat and poses in the ring. Sheamus looks angry and back to the ring to get his gear but Ricochet retreats to floor and he’s talks trash and states that he wants title match.

– Rhea Ripley defeated Asuka and Charlotte Flair via Pinfall and successfully retained her Raw Women’s Championship. After the match, Rhea Ripley poses in the ring with her title and stood over Asuka while Charlotte Flair looks angry from the ringside.
– We see the video of MVP and Bobby Lashley arriving to the building earlier.
– The Miz and John Morrison at backstage. Miz is not happy about the tonight’s Lumberjack match against Damian Priest but Morrison says he will figure it out by talking with Lumberjacks and convince them to get win for The Miz.

– We see the video of Dominik Mysterio attacked by Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode during kick-off show. Dominik and Rey Mysterio in the trainers room. Dominik apologizes his dad and will get another opportunity. Rey says he got this and he loves him and walks off.

– Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode via Pinfall and became the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions. In the middle of the match, Dominik Mysterio came out and joined with Rey Mysterio. At the end, Dominik hits frog splash on the Robert Roode and pinned him to win the titles.

After the match, The Mysterios celebrates in the ring with tag team titles. Kayla Braxton steps in and asked their comments. Rey talks about being the first father and son duo to win the tag team titles and he’s at top of the world. Dominik says it’s honor and blessing to share moment with his dad and it’s time to celebrate.
– John Morrison at backstage, walking into the Lumberjacks room but they all are zombies. It’s look like the promotion for “Army of the Dead”. John Morrison was confused and shocked as Zombies walking out of room.
– Jimmy Uso enters into Roman Reigns locker room and finds Jey Uso. Jimmy says Jey’s name should also be on the locker room door and he’s getting new locker for both of them and also Smackdown Tag Team Titles. He talks about how Jey shouldn’t carry Roman Reigns bags and both started arguing. Roman Reigns walks in, Jimmy says he’s just here to wish him good luck and walks away. Reigns and Jey looks on.

– John Morrison walks upto The Miz at backstage and informs that lumberjacks are Zombies. Miz tells him to snap out and it’s just in your head. Miz tells this is about him embarassing Damian Priest and they both walks off. We see bunch of Zombies walking at backstage.
– Damian Priest defeated The Miz via Pinfall in Lumberjack match, which was surrounded by Zombies. After the match, Priest leaps top to get out of the way ad Zombies started getting into the ring. Zombies covers The Miz and started eating him and Priest watches him from the ramp and lights goes off.
– Jey Uso finds Jimmy Uso at backstage and yells at him for trying to distract Roman Reigns before his big title defense. Jimmy wonders and says the sign of the door should “Roman Reigns and His Bitch” instead.
– Bianca Belair defeated Bayley and successfully retained her Smackdown Women’s Championship. At the end of the match Bayley goes for Bayley-to-Belly and goes pin but Belair kicks out. Bayley shocks, she goes for Rose Plant but Belair blocks it and uses her hair to pin Bayley and retains the title.

After the match, Binaca Belair retreats to the floor and celebrates with title at the ramp. Bayley was shocked in the ring. Bayley goes to annouced table and yells at Micheal Cole and calls for replay, we see Bayley’s leg wrapped up with hair. Bayley calls Bianca Belair as cheater while latter celebrating on the ramp.
– Kevin Patrick at backstage with MVP for an interview. MVP slams Braun Strowman for not able to make a business deal with them and it doesn’t worried WWE Champion Bobby Lashley as he retains WWE Title tonight. We also see Drew McIntyre getting ready for the match.
– Bobby Lashley defeated Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman via Pinfall and successfully retained his WWE Championship. At the end, Braun Strowman puts Drew McIntyre through annouce table and brings him into the ring. He goes for running powerslam but Drew McIntyre nails Claymore to Braun Strowman. 
Bobby Lashley came out of nowhere and tosses Drew McIntyre out of the ring and hits spear to Braun Strowman and pins him to retain his WWE Championship. After the match, Bobby Lashley stands tall and MVP brings WWE Title to Lashley. Drew McIntyre was disappointed at ringside and they both stared at eachother.

– Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Gorilla Position along with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman. Jey Uso hypes Reigns but Reigns interrupts and questions his loyalty. Jey says he’s always riding with Tribal Chief but Reigns says he sounds like his brother Jimmy. Reigns tells Jey Uso to find his brother and heads towards ring.
– Roman Reigns defeated Cesaro via submission and successfully retained his Universal Championship. After the match, Jey Uso came out with red flower lei and acknowledged him as Head of the Table. Then, Reigns instructed Jey Uso to destroy Cesaro.

Jey Uso unloading on Cesaro, but music hits here comes Seth Rollins. He came face to face with Roman Reigns and suddenly attacked Cesaro. Seth tosses Cesaro through the annouce table and puts his face first. Then, Seth grabs a steel chair and attacked him.

He wrapped steel chair to Cesaro right hand, which was hurt during the match and twisted it. Then, he hits to the steel post snd Seth Rollins laughs. Seth delivers a stomp on the floor and stood tall in the ring and WrestleMania Backlash goes off air.
