The Bella Twins – Nikki Bella and Brie Bella announced their in-ring retirement in March 2019. Following the introduction of WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, Bella Twins expressed their interest to challenge the titles and teased their return to WWE.
The Bella Twins recently had an interview with Deidre Behar of Entertainment Tonight and discussed about several topics. While speaking, Brie Bella opened up about her Summer Slam 2014 match against Stephanie McMahon.
Brie said that how Stephanie McMahon wrestled infront of their little children and looked like superhero and Brie also wanted the same feel one day. So, she stated that there is definitely one run left for them.
“I’ll never forget the moment that I wrestled Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam, and to see her three little girls – they were little at the time – their faces when we came back, they looked at their mom like she was a superhero, and I want that one day,” Brie said. “I just thought that was the coolest thing. So, the Bellas are definitely going to make a comeback. We don’t know exactly when but we said we have one more run in us and we’d really love to do it.”
Nikki Bella also revealed that they definitely starting preparations for their in-ring return and looking to change their style in the ring.
“I know for me, we are definitely starting that preparation,” Nikki said. “When we come back, I want to change my style in the ring a little bit but I want to make a statement, so I realize that I have to start that now.” (H/T: Sportskeeda)
The Bella Twins recently inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame as a part of 2020 class. They also made a special appearance at WrestleMania 37 Night Two and had a segment with Bayley, in which they put down Bayley.
