WWE is planning to make this year’s Summer Slam event like WrestleMania and also rumored that WWE is discussing to bring major names for the event. From the many reports, it was suggested that John Cena will be returning to face Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
Another big name is Rated-R Superstar Edge, who was rumored to be on the Summer Slam 2021 match card. Recently, it was reported that WWE is planning to use him as babyface for the event. Now, WWE is planning a first ever massive match involving Edge at Summer Slam.
According the WrestleVotes, WWE is planning a stacking matches from Smackdown side. From the sources close to WrestleVotes reported that current plans for Rated-R Superstar Edge to face The Messiah Seth Rollins at biggest party of summer.

Edge last wrestled at WrestleMania 37 Night Two main event involving Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan for Universal Championship. Roman Reigns successfully defeated Edge and Daniel Bryan by pinning both of them at same time and successfully retained his title. Since then, Edge wasn’t seen on WWE TV.
Edge and Seth Rollins had some history in the past in WWE. In 2014, Team authority lost to Team Cena at Survivor Series and Triple H forced to give up his power. John Cena can only reinstate The Authority.
On December 14th episode of Raw, Edge and Christian hosted the Cutting Edge Peep Show with Seth Rollins and Big Show as special guests. During that segment, Seth Rollins threatened to stomp the Edge’s neck of John Cena didn’t reinstate The Authority and John Cena agreed to it.
