WWE signed a deal with Saudi Arabia’s General Sports Authority to host two events every year for 10 years. Till now, WWE hosted five events at Saudi Arabia, last one came on February 2020 – Super ShowDown.
Following the pandemic outbreak, WWE didn’t host any events at Saudi Arabia and now, company is planning to host atleast one event by the end of 2021. According the Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is planning to return Saudi Arabia this year but no date confirmed yet. It was expected that company will host one event before end of 2021.
“With the world starting to open up and World Wrestling Entertainment beginning to tour again, we have been asked by several readers if and when the company might resume doing their Saudi Arabia events. We are told by company sources that the early expectation is that they will finally return to Saudi Arabia this fall, but an official date has not been locked in yet. The expectation is that they will run one event there before the end of the year.”
WWE’s hosted first Pay-Per-View in Saudi Arabia was Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018, then, Crown Jewel event in November, 2018. In 2019, WWE hosted another two Pay-Per-Views, Super ShowDown on June 7th and Crown Jewel on October 31st.

WWE’s last event at Saudi Arabia was Super ShowDown 2020 on February 27th. Following that WWE didn’t went to Saudi Arabia due to pandemic outbreak and now, with Covid restrictions lifting around the world, WWE is finally returning to Saudi Arabia.
