The Rated-R Superstar Edge was last wrestled at WrestleMania 37, in which he battled Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan in Triple Threat Match. But he was unsuccessful to dethrone the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and wasn’t seen on WWE TV since then. Now, fans are speculating about the possible return of Edge for Summer Slam PPV.

Summer Slam 2021 is the second biggest event of the WWE and also live fans returning to the arena after pandemic outbreak. WWE also trying to make Summer Slam as another WrestleMania event and we can expect some major returns at the show.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning bro bring back top names for the Summer Slam event and it’s mostly likely that Edge might be returning on July 16th episode of Friday Night Smackdown infront of live fans and will be on Summer Slam card.
”There are also to be other returns with the idea of SummerSlam being a WrestleMania-level show. Since Edge is billed to return on the Houston Smackdown, and there is talk about bringing back big names, him wrestling at SummerSlam seems to add up.”


There is a speculation that Edge might get one-on-one match against Roman Reigns if he returns but currently, WWE is looking to have big main event of John Cena facing Roman Reigns with Universal Championship on line. So, Edge might get another opponent for the WWE’s biggest party of summer.
