WWE released several superstars over the past couple of months that includes major names like Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Lana and more other superstars. Usually, WWE includes 90-day non-compete clause for released superstars that means they can’t work other promotions for three months.
During these period, those superstars also getting paid but multiple superstars didn’t want that deal. According to the Fightful Select reports, several 2021 released stars requested WWE to forego their non-compete clause so they can work with other promotions as soon as possible.
Multiple 2021 WWE releases have asked WWE if they can forego their non-compete clauses, anywhere ranging from the entire duration, down to just a few days before their scheduled non-competes.

It was also noted that WWE said to be ‘receptive to this’ and Johnny Ace is the person to contact for such requests. It was also not clear that whether the superstars still get paid for this period of time but WWE is likely showing some leniency towards the 90-day non-compete clauses.
Recently, the former WWE United States Champion Andrade debuted in AEW within 90 days of his release as he didn’t have any non-compete clause with his departure. It also appears that some other released superstars might got the same luxury. It was not clear what’s WWE final was, let’s wait and see.
