WWE is getting back on the road soon and it was recently reported that WWE is looking to use more themed shows in future that includes Old School Raw, Cyber Sunday and more.
According to the Fightful Select reports, FOX and USA/NBCU have been pushing for more themed shows to happen in WWE going forward. It was also noted that NBCU wanted to use ‘NBC Sports Integrated Pitches’ that includes tie-up with NASCAR drivers into the WWE program.
Another pitch was NFL Night for the launch of Sunday Night Football that includes football themed matches and storylines, and also NFL players and commentators to appear in WWE program.
Fox and USA/NBC were a big part of the push for this to happen, and there are several other NBC Sports-integrated pitches being made.
It was also noted that Wrestling World Cup idea also pitched to the company that includes all brands. Another interesting pitch made by NBC is that ‘Points Month’, in which victories, signature moves and some other things would bring up the points to the wrestlers. Let’s see if any of these pitches would happen in future in WWE.
