Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. WWE announced two title matches for tonight’s show.
WWE announced that The Usos will challenge Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio for WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles on tonight’s show. And also there is still mystery behind who attacked Rey Mysterio on last week’s Smackdown.
After the last week’s interference of Commander Azeez in Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews match, WWE announced that Kevin Owens will battle Apollo Crews with Intercontinental Championship on line and also Azeez is banned from the ringside.
WWE also announced that Smackdown Women’s Champion Binaca Belair has a unknown challenge for Bayley and she will reveal it on tonight’s Smackdown.
Here The WWE Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s Smackdown opened with Universal Champion Roman Reigns making his way to the ring along with his special counsel Paul Heyman. Reigns says he’s not happy with what happened on last week’s Friday Night Smackdown but after council from Paul Heyman and a full week to chew it on, he changed his position on title shots to The Usos. Reigns continues that he’s centerpiece and everything revolves around him, he’s a giver and allowed this to happen.
Roman Reigns wants to be clear, Jimmy Uso said they are going to win the title and if he said that, he better win. Roman Reigns tells Paul Heyman to bring his cousins. Music hits, here comes The Usos. Jimmy and Jey Uso hits the ring, Jey shows love to Roman Reigns and calls him Tribal Chief but Jimmy doesn’t. Reigns says it’s Jimmy turn to acknowledge him. Jimmy thought he already did, back at Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View last year, when Roman Reigns battled Jey Uso.
Jimmy says it’s not about that, it’s about tonight, locking down tag team division and becoming 7-time tag team champions and making family proud. Reigns nods the head and begins to seethe. Reigns wishes them good luck and says Jimmy called the shot, he understands that because he does the same. But he get the job done so if Jimmy says they are going to win, make sure they win as whole family watching them. Reigns tells them to get the done done and bring the titles. Reigns walks off and The Usos getting ready for match.
– Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio defeated The Usos via Pinfall and successfully retained their Smackdown Tag Team Titles. After the match, Rey and Dominik quickly get off from the ring to celebrate. Jey and Jimmy arguing with referee as Micheal Cole and Pat McAfee speculating that Jimmy kicked out.
We go for replay and it shows Jimmy kicked out in no time and referee did the mistake. The Usos looks angry in the ring while The Mysterios standing on the stage. We go to Backstage, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Reigns tells Heyman to bring his cousins.
– The Usos are at backstage with Roman Reigns. Jimmy talks about how they cheated during the match but Reigns doesn’t want to hear about it. Reigns says how they are embarassed the family and the one thing is that they are lucky because they still have lot of time left for the show, so, they show to the Adam Pearce or Sonya Deville to fix the issue tonight.
Roman Reigns says The Usos are six time tag team champions and who made WrestleMania once. Reigns continued that less than a year with him, Jey had closed the show, walking his head held high for the world to see him. Reigns asks Jimmy if he understands while looking at Jey. Jimmy looks back at Reigns and Jey corrects Reigns that he’s Jey, not Jimmy. Reigns laughs and asks if it matters anyway with the way things going on. Roman and Heyman walks off.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with The Messiah Seth Rollins and shows the video of Seth attacking Cesaro two weeks back. Kayla talks about possible return of Cesaro and how Cesaro doesn’t give up or back down. She asks what happens when Cesaro return to Smackdown. Rollins removes his mic and chucks it at Kayla Braxton and stares at her smiling.
– The Street Profits are at backstage talking and Chad Gable interrupts them. Gable says he has seen the down trend in their career as he’s reviewing his tapes and it’s obvious that profits are down. Then, Chad Gable asks if he can manage them as manager, looks like he’s done with Otis. He says if they wants to unleash the inner Alpha, then, let him get the smoke. They laugh at him and says not interested and walks off disrespecting him.
– Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville at backstage talking to eachother, The Usos shows up. They brings up how they are cheated during the match by referee’s bad call but Adam Pearce says referee’s call is final. Sonya Deville says The Usos were done wrong and they will review what happened tonight, then , they will inform their decision.
– The Mysterios are at backstage looks like they are leaving the building but Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville stops them. They says they reviewed the footage and it’s clear that referee made a bad call during the title match earlier. Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville says The Usos will get another title shot tonight. The Mysterios says Ok and walks back to locker room.
– Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in the ring. She says ever since she won the title at WrestleMania 37, Bayley got so pressed and hasn’t done anything but just laugh. Bayley should realise that WWE Universe isn’t laughing with her but at her. Belair says she’s getting Bayley’s laugh more than she actually thought but she isn’t the first one to try her. She tells how people laugh at her since she was 3 feet tall but she sends them to dust by her success.
Belair says she has dealt with the teasers, doubters and bullies, but after all she’s been through she’s never had someone laugh at her in her face. This utter a disrespect and she didn’t stand for it. Belair says she challenges Bayley and wants to take her at Hell In A Cell and promises that she won’t be laughing then. Belair is waiting for Bayley but she wasn’t seen anywhere.
We start hearing Bayley’s laugh all around and finally Bayley appears in big screen. Bayley accepts the Belair challenge and after she takes title from Bianca she will be laughing but she’s not only one laughing at her. Bayley continued laughing while Belair raises her title. Bayley appears on the ThunderDome screens and laughing, Belair looks terrified.
– The Street Profits at backstage and Otis walks upto them. Otis says they are out of line by turing down Chad Gable’s offer. They have words exchange and Montez Ford says Gable is holding him back and asks him what he had accomplished since aligning with Gable. They says Otis should check out Alpha Academy and get his money back. Then, Otis attacked Street Profits and put them down.
– King Corbin defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via Pinfall. After the match, King Corbin quickly goes to ringside and grabs his crown but Boogs attacked Corbin and Nakamura takes back crown and celebrates as Boogs plays guitar.
– Kevin Owens at Backstage and walking towards ring but Commander Azeez suddenly attacks Owens and destroys him. He goes to delivers Nigerian Nail but officials stops him. Apollo Crews is watching it and smiles and WWE Producer Jamie Noble checking on Owens.
– Apollo Crews defeated Kevin Owens via Pinfall and successfully retained his Intercontinental Championship. After the match, Commander Azeez came out and stands with him. Then, Sami Zyan rushes in and hits Helluva Kick to Owens and says it’s how karma works. Referee yells at Sami and he left but he came back again and stomps Owens.
– The Street Profits are at backstage talking about Otis and Chad Gable. They are trying to give advice to Otis but he didn’t accept it. They says Gable is the only one being disrespectful and go on about how they will send back Otis to th trash where he belongs. The Profits say they are up and they want the smoke.
– Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio defeated The Usos via disqualification and retained the titles. At the closing moments, Roman Reigns attacked Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. He took out both Mysterios with steel steps and then, brings Dominik to the ring. He started unloading on Dominik and applied Guillotine Lock on him.
Jimmy Uso looks at it and tells Roman that’s enough. Reigns isn’t listening to him and Jimmy says again and left the ring. Roman Reigns left Dominik and looks at Jimmy. Jimmy tells Jey Uso to come with but Reigns gets into the face to Jey and he stops there. Reigns again started unloading on Dominik and hits powerbomb on him and Smackdown goes off air.
