The Universal Champion Roman Reigns is currently the top heel of the company. Ever since he returned at WWE Summer Slam last year, he had a fantastic run along with Paul Heyman and his cousin Jey Uso. With his Tribal Chief heel persona, fans have been wanting to see the dream match against his cousin The Rock.
On the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns is something WWE will definitely have at WrestleMania but it was getting tougher every year as The Rock getting older.
It was also noted that The Rock wanted to do a match against Roman Reigns and it’s likely will happen in next two WrestleManias. If The Rock can pull it off, it might take place at next year’s WrestleMania event.
“Obviously The Rock & Roman Reigns is something that they’re building towards and it would be — every year gets tougher and tougher because Dwayne gets a year older and, you know, but I think he really wants to do a match against Roman Reigns. I think for sure it’ll be in next two WrestleManias, and if he can pull it off, the next WrestleMania,” (H/T: WrestleTalk)
Roman Reigns vs. The Rock is a big dream match that the fans always wanted to see. Both the superstars expressed their to face eachother in multiple interviews and it would be perfect fitting with Roman Reigns “Head of the Table” gimmick. Recently, it was also reported that The Rock might be returning at Survivor Series 2021 and that could lead to setting up this dream match at WrestleMania event.
