The former WWE Superstar Buddy Murphy recently had an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com and discussed about several topics including original plans for his storyline with The Messiah Seth Rollins.

Last year, Murphy aligned with The Messiah Seth Rollins as his disciple and also won the tag team titles. They also had long feud with Rey Mysterio and his family. Later, Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio involved in romantic storyline and finally Murphy betrayed Seth Rollins.

While speaking with Sean Ross Sapp, Murphy revealed that the end game of that storyline is to him finally join Seth Rollins but suddenly they changed the plans to not joining him. Then, they both had first match between them.
“The endgame was that I was gonna be back with Seth.” Murphy said. “That was the endgame. I don’t think they had any idea about the Aalyah thing. It was just to throw a little friction in there but the whole endgame was for me to come back with Seth and then just out of nowhere it became ‘Buddy wouldn’t go back with Seth’. I was like “What? Why wouldn’t I go back with Seth?” This is when he had our first match and he beat me.”
“I was meant to be the second coming of Seth,” Murphy continued. “I’m learning from this guy that has held championships in all divisions. So the idea was that when I think that I’m really good and he beats me, I’m obviously not as good as I think I am. So I’m gonna go back with him because I don’t think that I have learned enough.”
Following that Murphy and Aalyah Mysterio take off from WWE TV. After his return, Murphy tried to align with Seth Rollins on blue brand but Rollins didn’t take him back into his side. Then, shockingly, Buddy Murphy got released by WWE.
